Twice as much for the same price, and I think it works better.
I use this instead of lead weights for nymph fishing. It works great. Gets my fly down on the bottom faster. Seems a little sticky at first glance, but sticks well on the line. Does not really stick to your fingers. Easy to add more or take some off if you need. Easy to move it up or down on the line. The only time I lose it is if I get hung up on a rock or other junk in the river. When you’re done, peel if off and stick it back in your container and reuse it next time. Some of the name brands turn hard over time, but so far this hasn’t done that to me. I recommend.

Great Way to Add Exactly the Right Weight for Pinewood Derby
Updated: This worked so well, that my son finished Top 3 in his pack for 3 years in a row. It worked so well we felt it was unfair not to share our secret with everyone. After the first year, we ditched the weights and only used the putty. It was magic. If we needed more weight between races we could easily add more. My son graduated from Cub Scouts and we still had putty left. Great value and more effective than you can imagine. This worked really well for us. We used this in combination with tungsten weights to get exactly the right weight and not have to use wood filler. A win-win for us. The putty is very sticky, so be prepared.

The putty was very malleable and easy to work with
The putty was very malleable and easy to work with. I only failed by trying to put it underneath my derby car and it dripped out. So I just put a thin layer of wood glue over it and it stayed in fine

Countless uses limited only by your imagination...
I've mostly seen this product used for fishing weights or derby cars. But, recently I was able to find a new use for it. I was given a cheapo fidget spinner. Hollow body knockoff. Spin-time of just under two minutes. I have noticed the stainless steel weighted spinners get over 5 minutes. So weight is a very important factor. Lead is a bit dangerous to continuously handle. The space inside would accept small tungsten balls. But too mush wasted airspace between them. So, how do you add weight in an odd shape? Derby Putty to the rescue. I used a precision scale to form three lumps of malleable putty. It was very convenient that I could pinch off the most precise amounts to get the perfect balance. An imbalanced spinner will wobble, vibrate and "walk" across a surface if put flat on it and spun. The flexibility of the Derby putty was terrific in that it formed into the space efficiently. I could not have done it any other way. Except to machine something or buy a tungsten rod and cut it off. Then spend countless hours trying to get the pieces the same precise weight. Derby Putty made it easy. Once done and assembled, I only had to tweak it once. Spin-time was up to 5 mins. GREAT! Now I am looking at other projects and wondering what mods I can do for fun. Great product and shipped fast and on time with Amazon Prime.

Got it for fishing, works great
They sell this for fishing (for use on specialty rigs) and it’s the same thing including the tin but at a substantial increase in price. So any carp fishermen wanting to weight down their pop-ups, this is the stuff.

Winning putty
This putty lets you put the weight exactly where you want it, and doesn't require you to have a specific shape hole or cavity as you can press it into any shape. It does move easily over time, so if you make a hole in the bottom of your car you'll need to cover it up with something after adding the putty to keep it from falling out. You'll want to get two containers, so you can use up to 4oz of putty and leave 1oz for the rest of your car.Do not put it back in the container outside of the wax paper it comes in. Over time it will settle into the bottom of the container and be very hard to get all of it back out. Can be reused year after year.

Great idea but hard to work with
Nice to be able to add really small weight increments to get your car perfectly dialed in at 5 oz., but this putty is not as malleable as some other reviews have said. It wants to maintain its original shape and I really had to work it to get it to keep in place. It wanted to stick to my finger more than the car. And the spray paint I used didn't stick to it.

Unconventional use, but great idea!
I actually came across this product while trying to figure out a way to weigh down my competition firearm. Glocks have this gap in the back-strap that many companies create brass, steel, or tungsten weights two weigh it down and help with recoil. They also cost in the neighborhood of $50-$100. While looking for tungsten powder or another way to do this, I found the putty. Awesome, it packs into the backstrap with no problem, and I was able to get the whole 2 oz in and the magwell adapter. This is now my standard for this modification.
