Why is shaped that way at both ends
It’s a great tool a good price but why is it shaped that way at both ends it’s so frustrating why doesn’t it have flat ends very odd l am not entirely happy about it or maybe it is just me it doesn’t help when trying to draw round something

Worst profile gauge ever!
When I opened the packaging the gauge looked more like an old comb than a tool. When I picked it up a number of pins fell onto the floorIf the pins are pushed together and straightened up the gauge can be used, but it is not really fit for purpose other than for very occasional use when accuracy is not too important. The more it is used the more the pins fall out!

Gaps when pressing against a rounded object.
Press this against a rounded object the there will be gaps. Not good to be fair

The gauge is the best I have used in a 50 career of carpentry. Robust and lock in position very easily. Don’t be put off by price as it’s worth every penny.
