South Africa Paperback – December 16, 2016

I visited a friend and her son (my godson) in South Africa in August 2023 and had a great time. While I did buy a book about Cape Town while I was there, I found I wanted more so I bought this book on amazon. Full of beautiful photos it just makes me want to go back ASAP.

A beautiful coffee table book with the gorgeous photographs. This book was exactly as described. It is a large soft back, not a hard back. Usually a used soft-backed version is more likely to be have scratches or the edges are frayed. It is a gift and I'm very pleased with it.

Beautiful and absolutely breathtaking

This is one of the most beautiful travel photography books I have ever reviewed. The book is like a tour through South Africa, often times at the end of day when colors and lights are the most beautiful and enticing. The book has full page, full color photos of each of the regions including Cape Peninsula, Southern Cape and Garden Route, East coast and Kwazulu-Natal, Mpumalanga & the North, Gauteng & Free State, Great Karoo & Interior. The photo tour, gathered from many sources credited at the back of the book, makes me want to go to South Africa and see it all for myself, but until I can this book is a great second way to experience this beautiful country, from its cities to its natural landscapes, its animals and gardens, coasts, mountains, beaches, and so much more. BEAUTIFUL!!!

A lovely "browsey" book which brought back some wonderful memories for me. Arrived in good time and smells lovely as all new books should! The photography is superb. Recommended to anyone with a love of, or holiday memories of, this fascinating country.

This was bought toward a Christmas gift for a friend. I'm hoping she will like it.
