Fine Tool
I'm building a pergola on my patio this coming spring. While prepping the 4X4 cedar posts (I'm using the Toya Grid bracket system) I had to fix a split I hadn't noticed when buying them. This bar clamp was just what I needed and worked very well.

The Jorgensen 3706-HD is a great clamp
The Jorgensen 3706-HD is a great clamp! It comes complete with the plastic wood protectors. I use them all the time in my woodshop. This set of four (4) joined my other 16 Jorgensen standard duty clamps that I have been collecting over the years. The Jorgensen brand clamps just keep on working, no matter how much I use them.I like these four (4) so much, I purchased twelve (12) more of the heavy duty (HD) in the 12", 24" and 36" lengths to go with my standard duty (SD) Jorgensen clamps. Here are some of my pros based on the Jorgensen clamps that I have been using for years:1. The adjustable action is solid and fast2. The handles are solid wood and have never come loose3. The Jorgensen clamps have always performed flawlessly for me4. Unlike some other brands, these look, work and feel just like the first Jorgenson clamps I purchased over 30 years ago! I like Jorgensen's "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" approach. Here is one improvement that I would like to see:I am not sure if it is Jorgensen or the reseller, but some of the clamps have inventory stickers on them. The sticker is difficult to take off. I have used finger nail polish remover in the past with varying success. This time I tried saw blade cleaner and it worked very well.To Jorgensen - Please keep producing these great clamps!!! So, other woodworkers can experience the feeling of having a clamp that works.

Perfect for installing cabinets
These are heavy duty clamps with protective rubber covers. They are the best that I have ever used, for the installation of kitchen cabinets

A bit heavy, but I really like them
I have used this size and style of Jorgensen clamp for decades. These are more robust than my others, and they feature the rubber clamp tips. These are quite a bit better, slightly heavier, but they will last forever. They weigh about 30% more than my previous clamps of the same size, but that also translates into greater strength.

Heavy duty version
Bought four of these to add to my collection. I already have some 6” Jorgensen light duty version as well as some Irwin 6” light duty. These are certainly heavier with a deeper reach. “Heavier” in terms of more heavy duty as well as physically heavier. They can easily apply a lot more pressure compared to the lighter duty. They are smooth to operate and appear well made. One had a slight chip in the paint upon arrival but appeared due to shipping as the paint chip was in the box and there was no rusting. Only knock would be the handle is now a plastic and rubber contrivance as opposed to wood. Works fine now but my experience has been that over time and higher temps in the shop in summer the rubber will slowly become sticky. Probably just wrap athletic tape around it at that point. Nice clamp for now though.

Powerful
This will crack wood if you over tighten. So, be careful! It's great for gluing tail and neck blocks, but you better not use it for anything else guitar building related 😉

HEAVY DUTY IRL
These clamps are the real deal. They’re as strong as my pipe clamps and very easy to use. I have two of them deployed to attach my power feeder to my router table, and they get the job done. Five stars good product.

the thickness is the best in my opinion.
these clamps are very robust and seem to be well made. i haven't worked with them yet but they seem well made. did i mention the thickness. just great as i've seen some that did not have as much thickness where thickness is concerned.
