I like the design, quality, and capacity of this laptop backpack
I was amazed by the design, quality, and capacity of this laptop backpack. I carries laptop everyday for work and travel and my current 8-year old backpack needs to be replaced. The Silmarils backpack has four compartments to separate my laptop, documents, and other stuffs and each compartment also has dividers to hold small pieces. The air flow mesh shoulder straps design is very helpful to carry and hike in the hot season. There is a small rubber piece with a headphone icon which you can cut a small hole by yourself and connect headphone to iphone and pad inside the backpack. I highly recommend this backpack and wish to see more designs from this manufacturer.

I really like this backpack
I really like this backpack. It's lightweight, has tons of pockets, and is spacious. The only thing that I don't like is how the zipper puller 'sticks.' So you have to first straighten it before you can pull on it. Wondering if anyone else has had that issue.

It has great laptop paddding and adjustable pocket snug fits my laptop
Money well spent! My work requires me to travel a lot. Therefore I need a bag to fit my 17 inches Dell laptop and meets TSA requirement. This backpack is well designed for this purpose. It has great laptop paddding and adjustable pocket snug fits my laptop. It has plenty of space for my laptop, a stack of documents, couple of books and laptop accessories such as mouse and other electronics. The strap is solid and comfortable. Overall the material quality and craftsmanship are beyond my expectation. Very pleased with the purchase!

Nice design....BUT....Pretty flimsy after only a few months of use.
I liked it a lot when it first arrived but seemed a little lightweight which had me concerned. 10 months in and it is falling apart. No heavy use, just my laptop and ipad - along with power cords, etc. The seems along the pocket and zipper just started coming undone and the zipper fell off. Really not impressed. Had a Swiss laptop backpack that lasted almost 4 years before it started ripping. Major disappointment. I'm sure if I file a warranty claim they'll call it "normal wear and tear". I only carry this over my shoulder from my car to the desk in my office. I've traveled for work with it 5 times or so and never checked it as luggage. Just not sturdily put together.

Really nice, but mine ripped after a week and a half
I really like the features of this bag. The padded notebook section is thick enough to protect a notebook, but not so thick (like some laptop backpacks) that it interferes with loading the rest of the bag with enough things for your needs. It has very well organized compartments, and the straps are SUPER comfortable. The zippers are a little weird-sometimes they like to get "stuck" out to the side. However, I think that's because they are thicker, probably to prevent the pulls from breaking off. That's a good thing.Unfortunately, my bag developed a rip after a week and a half of use. The rip is technically only the blue top layer (the layer underneath is intact) so it doesn't directly impact function...but this doesn't bode well for the longevity of the bag. I'm going to be returning it and looking elsewhere for something more durable, but maybe my bag was defective. YMMV.

Really capacious, lots of very convenient pockets. Tabs on the zippers tend to bind a little.
It carries everything with ease. It has one issue: the pull tabs on the zippers don't easily rotate on the body of the zipper itself, so you have to be careful, or it might be possible to accidentally spring or break the zipper. This is not a big problem for me, and the bag has done a pretty good job of consolidating everything I need to carry around, including a mouse, various cordage, the power supply, a tablet, a phone, and a wifi keyboard which allows me to use my laptop when it's connected to a projector without having it in front of me taking up a lot of real estate. I'd buy it again.

Does the job admirably
So far I have no complaints. I ordered three bags, and this was the only bag that truly fit my laptop without being ridiculously over sized. I have an MSI GE Series 17.3 inch laptop and it fits easily. The laptop sleeve can be adjusted on the sides so that you can adjust the snugness of the compartment. There is a separate sleeve for a tablet inside the same compartment as the laptop sleeve. I live in the pacific northwest, and it seems to be reasonably water resistant - no leaks or issues so far. The zipper pulls are a little stiff - I think that will get better in time. Overall a decent bag.

great confort
I took this backpack out on a recent trip to florida and found that most of them doesn't even know what a TSA friendly backpack is. Was told by one lady at the baggage check that they require even the tablets to be opened. Personally, I find the TSA baggage check to be very predice to slow people and don't know what their doing. As for comfort and organizable of this backpack, top grade.
