Nonfunctional and Virtually Worthless
There are several glaring issues with this product, even ignoring that fact that it smells bad coming out of the package.First, the single over the head strap is a pain to keep in place, as if it slides forward or backward even slightly, it will continue sliding off, and will become uncomfortable. This is especially bad if, like me, one tosses and turns while sleeping.Second, the earholes were poorly place for my ears, making it generally uncomfortable to wear.Third, and worst of all, it doesn't even work! The kind of snoring that this product is designed to counteract is from the jaw falling back, allowing the tongue to close the throat. However, this product pulls the jaw backwards, which does not prevent the tongue from closing the airway. The only way to keep the jaw from falling back with this strap on would be to hold one's teeth in an underbite, and then rely on the strap's tension to keep the jaw in place, but that is extremely uncomfortable, and most likely bad for the teeth (Pressure on teeth over long periods of time will shift them, this is the mechanism on which braces work).I was unable to spend even a full night with it on.All in all, do not waste money on this product. It would be better to invest a bit more into a mandible adjustment device, which is more effective for this kind of snoring.

Did not stop my snoring
It works to a point... I still snore, but not as loud. It has stopped me from grinding my teeth. However, the part of the chin strap that touches my skin (right under the chin) is not the most comfortable. I would suggest a softer material. After about 4 or 5 hours with it on it becomes heavier on my ears and starts to pull down causing me pain so I take it off at that point. Also, it seems to sort of dig into my throat if I'm laying on my back. I think they should have cut that area out into a more curved shape for better comfort. I would have given it four stars if it stopped me from snoring, but unfortunately it does not stop it completely.

IT REALLY WORKS! ...now an update...
It works! I wear my mouth guard with it & am on my 5th night. Would have given it a 5 rating except the earholes dont work for me so i just wear it over my ears, which is ok. I strongly suggest implementing newer models with a non-slip strip inside the headband so it stays in place better on thicker hair.UPDATE - After wearing this for 3 weeks it became very stretched out & is no longer usable. Good while it lasted but definitely needs to be constructed with stronger materials.

DO NT waste any money on this - I sent it back ...
DO NT waste any money on this - I sent it back after two nights of torture. Basically, it is designed to saw the ears off any human head upon which it is fastened. There is no way to adjust it or prevent painful abrasion to your ears. It is merely annoying when you put it on and go to sleep. 8 hours later, as small movements and turnings have moved it against your ears, you wake up checking for blood on your pillow and painful welts on one or the other side of your ears.I sent it back and got a refund, and I am posting this as a warning to other humans that this was clearly invented during the Spanish Inquisition as a medieval torture device. I can think of no other purpose to which this could be put. Now watch, someone will post a five star review that this fits them perfectly. Well, for those people, I'm sorry, you have weird shaped heads that the rest of us do NOT have, and this thing was nothing but irritating and ear-removing for me. At least they refunded my money. One other note - I ordered a cheap replacement unit with big holes where my ears go, and it did not cause me any more problems with straps abrading my ears in the night... but it had many other problems with its design, how the velco "hook side" (the rough part) was against your skin, and with cheap material losing its stretchiness after 2-3 weeks. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY on these cheaper things, get one of the $30-40 chin straps. I did, and it is excellent, with none of the issues these cheaper straps plagued me with. Some things you can go with the cheaper versions and it works OK... these chin straps? NOT! I learned my lesson and am passing along hard-earned knowledge to the rest of the human race... or at least those who order on Amazon. (98.2% of the human race, I guess).

Very tight around the back of the ears and uncomfortable. If you have a beard or goatee it pinches around the chin and is uncomfortable to wear.

Good product that works - good value
This seems to work for my husband. It keeps his snoring more quiet since his mouth is closed. I notice when he takes it off in the middle of the night so it is well worth the purchase to get to sleep.
