Looks ok but can't verify
I received the product which was $10 more than it is on the manufacturer's actual website, bummer but lesson learned. The construction is solid with 3/4" connectors on each side. I was unable to measure a difference in the filtered water with a PPM meter so I called the manufacturer and he explained a PPM meter will not work as this filter focuses on other stuff. I'll take his word for it and continue using it. One thing I would have liked to know is that this filter restricts the flow to a max of 3 gallons per minute (GPM). Not an issue for me but for those that have large gardens or areas to water and need more, keep this in mind. I have 9GPM coming from my tap so if I expand my garden considerably in the future I may have to consider another filter that allows more water flow. The filter is heavy so as explained in the manual do not connect it directly to your tap. Mount it somewhere or put it on the ground to avoid stress fractures that will void your warranty. This filter is good up to 25.000 gallons, as I'm new at gardening I purchased a flow meter that will record over time how many gallons I've used. I expect it to be several years before I have to even worry about renewing the filter. Lastly, this filter is for SOFT water, if you have HARD water you need another filter that is $10 more and sold on the manufacturers website. Check out their site for more details. My 4-star review is based on the good construction of the product and the friendly customer service when I called, these things mean a lot to me. As for functionality and the filter doing as promised... I don't have the equipment to verify this.

Garden Hose Filter
So far I really like this filter it, does what is supposed to, the housing is thicker and the end connecters are brass not plastic so they don't break off!. What I see all the way around is a well thought out good quality product. It does cost more but after you have to replace your filter when a plastic end connecter breaks off you'll change your mind.I gave 4 stars simply because I just started using it. I really like this filter and this time next year, if I still do, then it's 5 stars.

Very Nice
This product works as designed. I feel much better knowing the filtered water is not impacting my living organic soil, which was a concern of mine last year, but not this year! I am so glad it was made in the great USA, and not imported. Also, it is of great quality, built to last. I have it connected to my micro irrigation system with automatic timer.Note: They should make caps for both ends for storage during the winter months. Please add this as an accessory BMS.

the smell is gone
The problem I was having is you could smell the chlorine so strong from my garden hose it was terrible, and it was affecting my plants growth in my greenhouse. After attaching the filter I ran the water for about 2 min and the smell is totally not there now. After a week of watering with the filter on has made a big difference. My seedlings are taking off and looking much better.

Not so Hot!
Not worth the price to me as it filters the same as the RV water filters you can buy for $17. I put about a 100 gallons in a small 600gallon pond, and got a significant fish kill. I'll just keep topping my ponds of gradually with the Camco taste pure....much cheaper!

works as advertised
This product works as advertised, and promotes healthy plants. The only negative is that it cuts down water volume by about 40% or so. I don't get as much distance from my sprinkler head while using it.
