Best thing you can do if you have SI joint pain.
I wear this brace as often as I can.I wasted 8 years with lower back pain on the lower left side of my back where my waists band is. Always in that one spot. X-rays revealed nothing. I tried physical therapist, chiropractors, acupuncturists, and massage therapy before I even got diagnosed with Sacroiliac (SI) joint dysfunction. Even when a local PT figured out what was causing my pain, the solution was more PT. They did give me the idea of sitting on a tennis ball which helped some. Unbelievable that no one said get a SI brace. Imagine having a knee injury and no one said to mobilize the knee with a brace, but to try all the methods listed above.I received my SI brace last week and felt instant relief as soon as I put it on. I wear it at all the time now. For the first time in years I feel like I may be on my way to recovery from SI joint dysfunction. You truly feel this brace working when you are seated in a office chair or driving for extended periods of time. The small round pads provided allow you to put pressure on the exact spot where the pain is located. The hard brace in the back is great for making sure you keep a good posture while seated. The pull cables are what puts this brace above all the rest. You instantly feel the relief when you pull the cords snug and lock them in with the velcro. I also like to used my belt to apply additional pressure and hold it in place. That also helps conceals it. I do recommend wearing it over a moisture wicking shirt. That will help prevent it from making the lines in your skin.Great brace for SI joint relief.

Fit is suspect
This is the only belt I could find specifically designed to support the coccyx and my hope was for it to help with my chronic issues with coccydynia. The one-size fit is extremely misleading—DO NOT judge anything from the models, they are most definitely NOT wearing the consumer version of this belt, but rather a smaller test version fitted to their torsos.I'm 175lb male with a 46 inch waist and with the pressure pads on the belt, I have to cinch this thing down completely to get any support at all. With the pads installed ALL the way in on the belt, slightly overlapping the back supports, they barely touch my pressure points. Problem with this is that the pads are so close together, they lessen the back support enough that it is only marginally tight across my lower back—the pads comprise the support. If I remove the pads, I get zero support at all.Would be a great product with more adjustment, as it stands, it barely works for slim people. If you're a big person, this will work well for you.I'm going to give it a couple days, but it's likely getting returned.

Not durable
I have a low back injury that flares periodically. This unit greatly supported my back, relieved the discomfort, and was not too cumbersome to wear. i have come to rely on using it as needed, usually several short times per month. But now i find that the velcro that enables the whole device to function will no longer stick. It has to be pined which means the support is now uneven, and the handle is no easily accessible when it needs to be removed.. Very inconvenient. Very disappointing

wow! What a difference!
What a difference! For about a year now I have thought that I had sciatica on the right side and then it kept getting worse. I started looking into causes and found that it was more likely the SI joint due to soreness in the hip muscle.I ordered a different SI brace and it helped but was very uncomfortable under clothing. This brace caught my eye due to the pulley system. I've been wearing it for a couple of weeks now and can say that it has made a huge difference. My goal is to stabilize the area for it to heal and then perhaps I can forego the brace. We will see but for now its nice to not be in pain every day.Wearing it under clothing...yes! However, I did have larger pants that I could put on over it.Wearing it while sleeping. Yes! I am able to sleep with it and it does not shift and I believe this is due to the pulley system.Price: Not bad considering its functionality for many different issues; SI, sciatica; lower back and hip issues. A brace from a doctors office would likely be triple the price.

... stay in place so I had to put it pretty tight and it seemed to irritate more than help
Didn't stay in place so I had to put it pretty tight and it seemed to irritate more than help. Plus there were not very good instructions as how to use it especially the two extra pads to come with it I couldn't figure out where they went. It could have been lack of instruction as to why it didn't work well.

Doesnt work!
I am a 25 year old, 130lbs, woman and I did not find comfort in this brace. I only received one pressure pad as well and am waiting to hear back from the company for a second one (I only contacted them yesterday so no biggie!) However, when I get the brace just where I need the pressure, I have to adjust the pulley around my waist and it tightens the two black plates closer together, resulting in no support. Also, just when I have it tight enough, it starts to ride up my stomach! I tried it on my skin, on my shirt, right under my belt line...nothing works. I'm sure it works with some people, however this expensive belt doesn't work for me. I have severe SI joint pain so I am in need of a good belt

This works really well
My overall rating is 5 stars because it's the first product I have purchased that actually seems to work. It takes a bit to get accustomed to wearing it, but it does relieve lower back pain especially caused by hips being slightly unaligned. I love the adjustable straps, which give a better fit. It rarely moves around if you keep the straps tight. It was worth the purchase.
