Fueled by cheap whiskey, greed and hatred, Willie Soke (Billy Bob Thornton) teams up with his angry little sidekick, Marcus, to knock off a Chicago charity on Christmas Eve. Along for the ride is chubby and cheery Thurman Merman, a 250-pound ray of sunshine who brings out Willie's sliver of humanity. Mommy issues arise when the pair are joined by Willie's horror story of a mother, Sunny Soke, who raises the bar for the gang's ambitions, while somehow lowering the standards of criminal behavior.

This time it's a foul Billy Bob AND his foul Mom ...
Definitely an acquired taste, watch a couple of times as a rental or on demand first. I liked it because this time it's in Chicago ... also hated it because it's in Chicago - in wintertime. Lots of memorable female characters (Kathy Bates of course, you have to admire how adept she was at dialog this utterly filthy)...So yeah, it's not as good as the first one, and some of it is contrived or cringeworthy. But Christina Hendricks... good lord, it's worth owning the Blu-ray for her alone (if you like her um... well for me it's her hips that put my jaw on the floor every time, along with being a hot redhead).

Stay away if you want to keep your good memories about the first film!
One of the worst movies I've ever seen! It's like they didn't know what they wanted to do with the movie and I tried to go immediately to sex jokes. What was good about the first film was it it was a bit shocking and fresh this was just a really bad slap together pile of garbage. I'm not one of those people that likes to put down movies very often but this definitely is in my bottom three of all time. If you love Bad Santa 1 do not see this you'll just ruin your rosy image of it. I like the idea of having Kathy Bates in the movie but the movie didn't know what it wanted to do and it really didn't have a purpose and it flounder like a fish caught on land baking in the Sun!

If you loved the first, give this one a chance!
I love the original and thought the sequel would disappoint. I was wrong. Not as good as the first because Bernie Mac and John Ritter added an extra element but the chemistry between the main characters was still excellent and the addition of Christina Hendricks didn't disappoint.

Family fun...if you don't have kids that is.
A but more extreme than the original but quite entertaining if you like off color humor....VERY off color!

Okay but not as good as part 1. Rent it if you want to see it. Buying it will make you feel like you wasted some money.
As a major fan of the first movie I didn't find this movie quite as entertaining. The humor was less enjoyable than the first. Though still a very raunchy movie from a profanity standpoint which will make you laugh repeatedly, if you are in to that type of comedy, it doesn't square up to the first one. You really have to watch it if you liked the first movie but be prepared to not be as amused as you were in the first one. I would definitely rent vs buy.

Meh.... First movie was better
Not nearly as good as the first Bad Santa. I think this movie could have been better with Billy Bob.... playing Santa more. There were only three parts in the movie that I can remember where he plays Santa and only one of those was he playing the traditional mall Santa role (although not in a mall).

Is it a great film? No. Is it a fun film? You decide...
Is it a great film? No. Is it a fun film? Yes, if you enjoy savage humor. Meeting Willie's mom explains why he's so messed up, The Kid is exactly how I imagined he'd be grown up, and Christina Hendricks is fantastic as always. If you enjoyed the first movie, check this out. If you didn't, don't bother. If you never saw the first one...watch it before spending your money on this, just to be sure.
