Monster Blaster 3.0 Portable Speaker, 120W Wireless Bluetooth IPX5 Rechargeable Waterproof Speaker with USB Charge Out & Aux Input

Purchased June 18, 2020: This was a gift for my husband, who is a musician. A good friend of ours left his smaller, cheaper (can't remember the brand) bluetooth speaker at our house for a while and I noticed my hubby was enjoying it in our backyard nearly every day. I figured, with his birthday coming up....I looked at many examples of this type of speaker with basically the same features and was a bit nervous about this choice. It's at the top end of what I wanted to spend, but I don't regret the money spent AT ALL. Worth it! The sound is GREAT. At top volume or low, there's no distortion. It's crisp and clear, whether he's listening to classical or hard rock. You can crank this sizable (and a bit heavy) speaker/"boom box" and be heard far and wide. That said, it's very nice at lower volumes. Plug your phone into it to charge, bluetooth connectivity is fast, etc. Every feature is nice to have. It's plug and play - easy to set up and just go. He charged it up for about 10 hours after taking it out of the box. I'm not sure how long each charge lasts - we haven't charged it back up yet, and it's been a week of occasional use.

I love the fact that the mids and highs a superb. The bass is low but just enough. If you are looking for deep bass, this doesn’t have it. Bass is more flat and dry but performs beautifully. Wouldn’t recommend anything els. This speaker is extremely loud if that is what you are looking for. Plus it has 2 speakers front and 2 back. Plus a subwoofer that faces down with 2 bass reflectors.

Ever since I bought my first HDTV and Blu-ray disc player in 2008 along with select Buena Vista Home Entertainment Blu-ray movies that contained a Monster Cable leaflet highlighting the advantages of their brand of A/V products, I have been a long-time loyal customer of theirs. And with this jumbo-sized boombox style speaker on their product lineup that I might add actually lives up to the Monster brand name, they didn't disappoint. I listened to part of a recently-released album on here this past fall, and sure enough it couldn't have sounded any more natural and lifelike. The bass and "knocking" kick drums and vocals just jump out at you like nothing else I've heard this side of Pioneer's Elite line of Home Theater speakers. It can comfortably be said that this is the ideal speaker for parties, the perfect compliment for your new Hi-Res Audio enabled media player and a must have for the itinerant music lover.

I purchased this speaker in hopes of it being super loud for an outdoor social distance dance fitness class. While it is loud, it is not quite as loud as I hoped for my purposes. I had it in outdoor mode and volume up all the way but still maybe a 7 out of 10 on loudness scale. It is way better/louder than my small bose and UEboom for sure though. I’m sure that it would be perfectly loud enough inside. Slightly dissatisfied but I will keep it. It is important to note that during a rehearsal outside the speaker did seem to malfunction for a moment, playing muffled as if it blew for a few seconds. I restarted/reconnected it and it sounded normal again. I will return it in a heartbeat if it does that again. FYI it is also HUGE! Like a 15 lb big boom box. Fine to carry to the park but feels pretty heavy after a block or so.

would it be possible to replace the battery?the original has died.
