Originally I gave this item a 5-star review and was amazed at how much I loved these when I saw all the negative reviews. Grrrr... I see what all the fuss was about now. The function of leashes of this style are great but these are not sturdy at all. Apparently, these are cheaply made and will not last long. Initially, they seemed to hold up well but after not much use mine are actually starting to fall apart. See picture for what I mean. Also, I saw some other reviews that mentioned the handle is loop is simply glued together. I thought.. no, that can't be true. So I pulled back the plastic to take a look and sure enough the rope is simply glued to itself. Are you kidding?I'm tossing these as I don't feel safe using these any longer. The last thing I want to do is invite disaster and heartache by having them completely fail during a walk with my precious dogs. So I decided it is probably one of those things where you get what you pay for and found some other better quality and higher priced leashes of this style and I love them.My advice: Do not buy these! Leave this page now! Decide to pay more money and get a better quality item!******So weird how I love this leash but looking at the other reviews seems like I'm definitely in the minority. Honestly, I never even looked at the reviews until now. Which is rare for me.. I usually always read reviews. Why I didn't, I have no idea. I had purchased one of these for my 6 month old puppy after seeing this type of leash on Cesar Milan's shows. It worked great with the puppy so I bought another one for my older dog, a six year old mixed breed, around 110lbs of pure muscle. I've never really accomplished being able to walk my older dog by myself using a regular leash and collar or harness because if he wants to behave it is all good but if he decides he doesn't want to then I really don't have the strength to control him. He just drags me along... and I've nearly had my arm broken once because of it. Also, his neck is as big as his head so a collar just slides off too easily if he moves just right.. which he has figured out how to do. These leashes really have been working for me. I've been able to walk both dogs at the same time, leash in each hand, and keep them both under control.. which is amazing to me. If I had bothered to look at the reviews before purchasing I am sure I would have never bought these so I'm glad I didn't. Mine are holding up very well so far and it seems sturdy so I'm wondering if I've received a different product than some of the other reviewers have?? No idea.. but I do love the leashes I received and would buy again.

Good lead for a good price!
I bought this and realized it was smaller than I expected? I'm positive that it's cause I didn't read the info clearly enough but it was just a bit too small for what I needed it for (I work at a pet resort). That being said, I ended up giving it away and the other people love it! Definitely for small(er) dogs. Great leash, too bad I didn't like it.

I got this for my Great Dane puppy and used it until she was about 16 weeks old. It was just starting to fray at that time, and I walked her for 10+ minute walks no less than 8-10 times a day (not to mention all the night walks too!) I love that it was easy to distinguish the neck piece from the handle. My only complaint, if you can even call it that, is that I found it difficult to stay right behind her ears where her neck is most sensitive, for the most effective leash training; at this time, I attribute that to user error though. You can't go wrong for the price - perfect for training puppies!

Great for training, needs stronger parts.
Although we love the idea and concept of this leash, it fell apart very quickly. It does work in helping train our dog, but it didn't last long at all after the plastic parts started falling off and slipping, making it hard for the leash to stay together. I gave it a 4-star rating because it does really help train the dog. It's just not made with the best quality parts.

What's with the plastic piece??
This is a pretty decent choker leash, except for the big chunk of plastic on the end, which ends up on the side of the dog's neck. The point of the choker collar is even distribution of pressure all around the neck, and this plastic chunk interferes with that.

Poor quality
I purchase two of these leads after really loving the first Cesar Milan brand one that I bought two years ago. These ones were slightly different and they are poor quality. One frayed and became useless after two eeeks and the other one not long after. And I only use them once a day for the dogs to step right out the front door to go to the bathroom before breakfast. Other than that, I use their regular collars and leashes.Very disappointed. And no, the dogs didn’t chew them.

Upon receiving this leash I loved it! Felt good in my hands and all was good! 10 Minutes into using it and one slight correction it broke! Amazed me as it broke so fast! I should have listened to the reviews. But I thought " they must be exaggerating or letting the dogs chew it." Wrong! it really broke! came apart under the plastic " thing" holding the hand loop . returning it for a refund!

Not what Cesar portrays on his shoes.
This is not what Cesar uses in his shows. This is a very thick leash. To big for my pup.
