Wonderful Watercolor Paper!
This Baohong Watercolor paper is terrific to work on. For a cold press paper it’s tooth isn’t so rough that you cant go back into for fine details and it comes in a great range of sizes, I particularly liked this long thin paper! It accepts and absorbs the watercolor well whether I put down washes or went in for detail Baohong is a breeze to use!

High quality watercolor paper for a better price
This is excellent watercolor paper of the highest quality. It is practically the only paper I use now that I’ve tried it. I’ve put aside the famous brands from Italy, France, and England for Baohong rough.

Watercolor paper
100 percent cotton, very reasonable price! Rougher texture than most watercolor paper, doesn't bother me but if you use hot press or regular cold press another brand, you might be surprised. Holds a wet wash very well with no blooms or backruns the only thing is it's very thirsty paper so working very wet is good. It's a glued block but they provide a plastic tool to seperate the paper and it works well. Overall very pleased.

Inconsistent quality, issue with glue seal
1) people have warned me about the glue seals of Baohong’s watercolor blocks. In some areas, glue peeled off; in some areas, glue was applied too much. When you remove the paper. I used a paper knife and the paper ripped anyhow.2) inconsistent quality. In some areas, the paper surface holds up fine; but certain spots, the paper fiber ripped off even with just one layer of wash. I’ve had this issue with Baohong in the past. The artist cold press pad I got is so rough , and leaves fuzzy water edges. However, another one would be fine….They could use better quality control. The quality is inconsistent among their products, and within each pad3) price: it’s $30 for 9x12 block. Other more established brands are between $32 and $40. I know this is cheaper but not by a lot.Overall, I’d say, buy at your own risk, you might land on a nice one, but sometimes , you won’t !

Good paper
Great paper for a good price. Takes water well. Only issue is that the glue holding the sides is a bit too strong. It takes care and effort to separate the sheets without damaging them.
