Slow to germinate but they eventually did!
I don't often write reviews but I love how this looks. They took a long time to show any signs of life and even started to look slimey. I thought I'd give them a little more time and I'm pleased I did. Took about 7 days to show any growth. Grew them without a full tank of water (sprayed them with plenty water everyday) then filled the take yesterday and this is the result 😊

Killed All my fish within hours
These did not come with instructions and I wish so badly I had read the reviews before buying. PLEASE do not attempt this if you are a newbie without instructions. As I am clearly not the only person here that this has happened to there SHOULD be a warning. All I got was the seed packet with a product label at front. So I attempted to plant them with water in tank and once submersed in water a thick gluppy slime appeared around them. I thought they would settle on the bottom like fish food does. They did not. They began to separate and stick to my plants. I tried my best to scoop them together and get them under soil and gravel. I thought oh well that was a bit of a fail no big deal. But then a few hours later every fish in my tank was dead. Some of which I have have had since my very first set up. I am beyond gutted and demoralised. I stupidly split the packet between 3 tanks so i spent hours cleaning the plants, emptying the tanks basically starting them all from scratch. I prefer to re-use substrate with well established bacteria but it all had to go. The amount of money that I have spent on my tanks and fish and what I will now have to spend to replace is hundreds and this product just a few quid wiped it all out.

Not what expected!
WARNING: there are no instructions on the packaging but the plants do indeed germinate as shown. The best thing to do to ensure growth is as follows:- Put in a tray a layer of sand or choosen substrate. Ensure the tray has growth room!- Lightly sprinkle the seeds over this layer.- Put a fine layer of substrate over the top of the seeds.- Soak the sand or substrate until it is water logged but not boggy or puddled.- Cover this tray with cling film and leave in a bright window.- Spray with water every day ensuring the substrate is wet but not water logged.- In seven days the seeds should be showing, add in a little more water, just to cover the top of the substrate.- Once you have enough seeds start to add in more water until you have about an inch, this should submerge all the plants.- Watch over the next few days for any decay, we had none.- Transfer to your chosen aquarium or tank be mindful as the plants are very delicate but they will graft easily it appears.- If you are not wanting to transfer follow the above route directly into your aquarium or tank and slowly add water to the edge of the tank ensuring you don't disturb the plants.- DO NOT GROW THEM IMMEDIATELY IN YOUR ESTABLISHED AQUARIUM THEY WILL NOT GROW!!We used about a quarter of a packet and the seeds went crazy, I personally ordered the small double leave seeds variety and as you can see they are definitely not small but they are double leaved. They have created a brilliant carpet in which I hope future shrimp will enjoy as it aquarium is still in cycle for shrimp. My plants are extremely healthy and are growing wild under daylight hours lights which contain red, blue and green LEDS.As seen new life is growing still so definitely value for money and would recommend to anyone with warning to follow the instructions as they are NOT including in the packaging.Good luck growing these wonderful little plants.

Not likely to buy again
I asked my local aquatics what I was doing wrong, as I couldn’t get these to germinate. They were under the impression that grass seeds are not aquatic and would die soon after germination once I added water if I did get them to grow. I finally managed to get some to grow in a jar in soil on the windowsill . They are still seedlings, so I couldn’t comment on their longevity or how well they’d do in water. I’m not sure I want to go through the palaver of trying different substrates and containers again, and I don’t really want non-aquatic grass, so I’m highly unlikely to buy again, it’s much easier just to buy moss or Monte Carlo.

Does grow!
I was surprised it grew after reading some reviews. However it was VERY difficult to get planted. Once the seeds get wet it becomes a super sticky goo that sticks anywhere but where you want it to go. I was unable to spread the seeds in a carpet and instead ended up with random clumps. in the pictures you can see how much i manages to salvage (not much) though you do get a lot! of seeds in the packet. Hasnt rooted very well and floats up in clumps. so make sure to plant quite deep. though it is doing well about a month in!

Don’t waste your time
If I could rate these any lower, it still wouldn’t be low enough. All I can say is that I wish I’d read more of the other reviews before I bought these as most are bang on.Seeds are coated in some kind of slime that congeals them into clumps as soon as they get wet and sticks to absolutely everything making it completely impossible to touch anything once you’ve put them in the substrate.Powered through and followed the instructions to the letter -sprinkled the seeds into some substrate in an empty tank and covered them over, sprayed the substrate down every couple of days and covered the tank with clingfilm to keep the moisture in and raise the temp as it’s a little colder that recommended. Not only has not one seed even thought about sprouting after 2 weeks, they’ve actually gone mouldy which has now spread to the drift wood I also had in the tank.So after 2 weeks, I have not a single plant and I will most likely have to replace my substrate and driftwood to get rid of the absolute mess these have left in my tank.
