I have a few different steel lunch containers and this is definitely my favorite. I've had one for about two years and recently bought another one when my kid started school. They are leakproof and I love that the silicone lid is flexible and kind of stretchy. It makes the lid easy to get on and off (even for kids) and, if your food is a little lumpy or sticks up a bit, the lid can flex over it and still close. The box is a little small in terms of length and width, but it's pretty deep. They are also easy to clean and seem lighter weight than some of my other steel containers which is nice when I'm packing them for a walk or picnic when I have to carry them. Even though they seem lighter, they are not in any way flimsy or poorly made. They are very strong and have not bent or warped in any way.In contrast the UConserve rectangular and circular containers I have are harder to open and close and not as leakproof. The rectangular UConserve is a lot shallower than this Ecolunchbox and doesn't hold as much and I always struggle to get the lid on just right.

This is such a great Bento box. I love that it seals perfectly and you can fit a good amount of food in there. I think this is probably suited for a child with a large appetite or an adult because it is at times a bit too big for my 3 year old's lunch. I can fit a sandwich plus some sides in it. It is easy to open with her small fingers and is dishwasher safe so I love not having to wash another thing by hand!

These are the best containers I have ever purchased. I was so tired of all my glasslock Tupperware with plastic lids. For one I’m trying to eliminate all use of plastic for things that touch my food so the silicon lid is great here. Second there are no moving parts to break over time like on other lock lid tupper ware. Another pro to the silicone lid is the flexibility it provides for items that push a little past capacity. The steel container is much lighter than glass and much safer when dropped. What else can I say I’m a fan and I’ll be replacing all of my containers with these over time.

Great box. Holds liquids in pretty well. Would have given it 5 stars except for the product label that didn’t want to peel off clean. I hate it when the labels come off in little strips and leave a sticky residue. Seriously the worst!

Leak-proof is an overstatement. The lid is a bit tricky to get sealed all the way and does not seal very firmly so that in a busy kid's lunchbox it can leak. It's good for sandwiches, which is what we got it for, but I wouldn't use it for anything more liquid than that.

I bought mine in 2016 and it's going strong. I've used it in both the fridge and freezer. My son was able to open and close the cover when he was in kindergarten. They don't leak and I've also used them to reheat food in the toaster oven. They are great quality too. We use these every day and wash both the lid and container in the dishwasher. AND you can buy replacement lids! Highly recommended!

AMENDED BELOWGreat purchase! Such easy opening for my 7 year old and younger child too. Maybe a bit small for a big eater if used as only food container. Perfect size for a child or used in addition to other containers. Very pleased!My daughter is now 9 p, and we were forced to purchase different stainless steel containers. Both lids on these ripped. We now cannot use the containers. I think they should have lasted longer than just 2 school years of lunch taking. I don’t recommend.

We bought our first one of these a few years ago for our oldest child, and it’s still going strong. Just ordered another for our next child headed to school. Works well with some silicone muffin tins for (kid size) lunches :)

Bei den klassischen Edelstahlboxen kann unser 2 jähriges Kind die Klammern leider noch nicht öffnen.Da ich es aber bevorzuge wenn er sich auch selbstständig Unterwegs (am Spielplatz etc) etwas zu essen nehmen kann, war ich auf der Suche nach einer Box die auch mein Sohn aufbekommt und aber kein Vermögen kostet.Pro:Bekommt sie ohne unsere Hilfe auf, genau das was wir gesucht habenLeicht zu reinigen, Geschirrspüler ist kein Problem, den Deckel habe ich bisher nur mit der Hand abgewaschenJe nach Empfinden Contra:* Der Silikondeckel wäre für mich eigentlich keine Option, in unserem Fall aber wirklich sehr praktisch!Er zieht leider jedes Staubkorn oder Fusselchen an, und sieht dadurch manchmal etwas „schmutzig“ aus. Das ist für mich persönlich allerdings eher kein Grund die Box nicht zu kaufen, ich weiß ja eh, dass sie innen sauber ist. ;)Also eine klare Kaufempfehlung von mir :)

I have been using it every day for over a year. Great quality, perfect size for lunch box, absolutely leak proof for food ( I wouldn't use it to bring a soup for example though). Only thing I miss is that it's not suitable for microwave. Definitely recommend it!
