First: NOTHING is as good as regular ice. That's why pro athletes use ice exclusively. (Watch the dugout during a baseball game.) A bag of ice will hold its temperature at 32 degrees F until all the ice melts, so you can ice for as long as you can stand it. OK? Gels--including this product--start to warm up as soon as they leave your freezer. All you can do is crank your freezer down to get a colder starting point. OK, with that out of the way, this is a good gel product. The cold part only runs for about 8 inches, so you can only chill about a quarter of your neck at a time. Because the gel pack is thin, it is pliable and will hug your neck, but also because it is thin it warms quickly (again, like any gel). It is spent after 10-15 minutes, but you may have a better (colder) freezer than I do, which would give you a longer chill than I get. I have to say, NO product I have tried holds the cold against your neck like this one--it cinches up tight. You can choke yourself if you want. I have three different neck-icing gel products and the FlexiCold holds its chill longest, but this one is also really good, especially because it is so easy to cinch up against my neck. ALSO: the strap on this is way longer than needed for your neck. You can use this on anything (except your waist). I use it on my elbow all the time, but you could also ice your knee, head, whatever.

I ordered this for my 20 year old niece, she just had her tonsils removed. She absolutely LOVES it. My mother is caring for her through recovery and she said that my niece doesn’t even let it get cold enough before she wants it back 😂😂😂

This product is not at all what I expected. The ice pack doesn’t stay cold for very long at all. Igor this after my neck surgery. It didn’t help at all.

This ice pack is the best I have ever found. Because of the position of my neck injury, it has been very hard to put ice on it until now. However, with this ice pack I can wear it as a head band with the velcro extensions placed at the top of my head. Very highly recommended.

Not different from other ice packs I've used. I bought this one because of the wrap feature, however, in order to keep it where i need it, it is uncomfortably tight.

This ice pack is perfect for neck pain. Also good to cool you down after a hard work out. I often end up sleeping with my neck in the wrong position. It takes days to get relief. With this ice wrap - perfectly shapped for your neck - I'm better after a few hours of using it. Love it.

Why is there elastic in the front? I just nailed myself in the left eye trying to take it off. The two front flaps have velcro. Why does it need elastic to hold the two front velcro pieces together? You have to pull it down over your head, and pull it up off of your head. I'll probably cut my face on the velcro next. I'll be cutting the elastic.

I have so many contraptions for my poor neck, but went to visit my mom and forgot them. While there, I was in so much pain so thought “oh this one looks so comfy and I can get a little stability while having it nice and cold...No. The black part is the itchiest material, second only to sandpaper. It is also to thick to even feel the cold from the little blue insert. So I ended up taking the insert, which I could have just gotten for $1, and wrapping it in paper towels.THE BLACK PART IS HORRIBLE!
