Sea Best All Natural Hard Shell Clams, 1 Pound (Pack of 10)

I have gone to two different Italian restaurants and ordered Linguine Vongole two different occasions. Both came with these white clams with black stripe. Delicious. These clams are so pretty! I then went on a quest searching for these clams as I have not seen such clams in any grocery stores including specialty stores. Lo and behold, I found out that these clams are from Vietnam.....and that they are fully cooked and frozen. I of course found them here on Amazon.I decided to give it a shot and ordered a box. There are 10 small vacuum packed white cooked clams. Instruction to cook them is not to thaw them but cook them frozen. I decided to cook my own vongole dish with tagliatelle pasta. Some garlic, Italian parsley, some white wine and clam juice....then throw in your frozen clams.. The clams open up once they are thawed in your sauce. My dish was delicious; these clams are juicy and sweet. They are slightly different than your littlenecks clams.I used three little packets for three adults in my tagliatelle vongole dish. :-)I will buy these clams again!

170 clams in the box is pretty good deal. The clams are small but flavorful, especially if you save the clam water for including in your recipes. Some clams did not open but this is to be expected. A few were sandy, but this is not a huge problem, you just wash extra.

Good if you Ever get them, took 5 weeks to get 1 order, I placed 2 orders & one never did arrive ??The order I did get was good & nicely packed with dry ice & wasn’t bad at all, it’s a hit or miss if you ever get it so beware of that !!

Wish I could upload a video/picture of the product for customers (but unfortunately because of the COVID-19 pandemic, Amazon is short staffed and has limited media uploads on reviews for now... or it may be a permanent thing that they decide to do)... but I digress. Well, I was going to leave a picture of my clams, but you'll just have to take my word for it instead now. These are precooked, so they're not frozen fresh. They're also about the size of Little Necks. You get about 12 clams per pack, and it's vacuum sealed. It came in this styrofoam packaging with dry ice. Everything was still frozen, nothing had thawed yet. The packaging was great. These are excellent quality. Believe me when I tell you that most restaurants are serving you frozen seafood, especially the chain restaurants. You're not getting fresh seafood at Red Lobster or Joe's Crab Shack. So if you're willing to spend $50 at a restaurant for a plate of frozen seafood, you'll be very happy with these.

Taste good but if there's one she'll is broken, you will never know if the next bit has the tinytiny shells. Tho i do know that's unavoidable.

These arrived in a ten pound box but it was ten smaller, sealed one pound bags which makes it very easy to find room in the freezer. They have about fifteen good sized clams per bag so they're the right size for a couple plates without a ton of leftovers. They're not going to taste like fresh because they're cooked and frozen but for frozen clams these are both convenient and delicious. I'll definitely be buying them again.
