Lots of fun!
The pig in a wig gathers her supplies and her friends for a concert in the park. Things are banging along swimmingly until a surprise arrives creating chaos. Oh, no, what will they all do! But pig in a wig is determined, nothing shall stop her from putting on a show. This fourth book gives the reader and listener ample opportunity to pretend to play instruments and make lots of noise, especially when the bangs and clangs arrive. The rhyming cadence of the story and pleasing illustrations make this a great series for teachers and families of preschool and kindergarten children.

Great toddler story!
Cute story! Nice photos of several musical instruments and animals. My two and a half year old loves this story and identifies with the different musical instruments and tools used to build the stage in the book. Glad I purchased. It is paper pages; not board.

Perfect read before an outdoor concert
Pig in a Wig and his friends get together an ensemble, build a stage and start to perform when they get an unexpected interruption. If you are introducing onomatopoeia, this has all sorts of sounds in it. In fact, it is nothing much but sounds word-wise. The story has a bunch of instruments getting together for an outdoor performance. They'll have to study the pictures carefully to figure out what causes the big commotion and halts the performance. If you're headed to an outdoor music performance with some kids, this might be the perfect read beforehand. Also a good pick for kids who like fun sounds in their reads.
