I retired and then promptly had to care for my husband through a series of medical crises over several years before he died of cancer. My family practice doctor offered me anti-anxiety and/or anti-depressant medications but I prefer not to use drugs unless I have to. She recommended this brand specifically as she had reviewed various products and said that GNC had the best research. I highly recommend it!

This ashwaghanda product works just great. I use it in the morning on the days I've had a bad night's sleep and I feel better, both physically and mentally for the rest of the day.

Good product. Helps with anxiety

I started using this product 2 weeks ago and taking it right after dinner (1 pill with a glass of water) Hoping I didn't have to deal with any of the side effects I read about. which I didn't experience except one, Vivid dreams. I stopped using this on the 3rd night I've never had such vivid dreams my entire life up until then. I decided to try it again and changed my schedule on taking it in the mornings but I definitely needed some breakfast because it made me extremely nauseas. I can tell that my mood has boosted and I feel less stress. Some times stress is inevitable so it's probably all in my head but my anxiety is still there so I don't think that part worked for me. Over all it's done good to me. I'll continue taking it for another few weeks and see how I do.

I chose this due to the reviews from Consumerlab.com. Not sure if it helps or not but no side effects are noticed.

Does NOT show on the listing, but under "Other Ingredients" on the label it reads, "Contains a bioengineered food ingredient." GNC has not told me what it is, suspect it is in the 'other' ingredients like vegetable cellulose. If there were not so many bioengineered crap in our food I would probably not need this to begin with. Returned unopened.
