Ed Brown Beavertail Grip Safety Installation Fixture 1911

I might have gotten one from a bad heat treat batch because this doesn't seem to be hard/hard enough. I touched the file to it when working on my frame and the file cut right into it. I was really surprised. I doubt this is hard enough to last beyond just one frame. The geometry seems fine though. I'm really close getting a RIA brand grip safety to fit. Just wish this tool would last a little longer. OK for a 'throw away' or single use tool but wears too easily for a repeat use tool.
