Didn't want to replace the ceiling fan in the great room. It was a high ceiling and the ceiling fan was on a long down rod. My nephew took the fam apart and asked me to order this part. Once installed the fan worked perfectly.

Fixed a 5 year old ceiling fan calera-0020160 from running slow. Installation is simple if you are mechanical. Will need 2-3 smaller wire nuts.

The blades on my ceiling fan were barely spinning so I decided to fix it myself after Google told me what the problem most likely was. Saved me lots of money and hassle not having to take down my fan and replace. Lots of videos are posted online how to replace this part.

Still running 1 week after installing. No issues so far

For almost three years I always wondered why my ceiling fan was slow and loud. I could hear the electricity coursing through it from the next room. Easily replaced this one capacitor and now the fan is strong, quiet and ALL speeds work.
