This was a gift my daughter loves that plant character

Okay, let's be real - nobody is buying this because they are interested in a purely functional product.You can get a more solid tea steeper for half the price.You're buying this because of its unique design. You want it for the whimsy.On that level, it FULLY delivers.While the mechanical parts do seem a little smaller and a little thinner than I'd like to be assured years of happy tea making, it arrived fully working and unlike other people, the "mouth"on mine fully shuts like it should.Time will tell how well it holds up with actual use. I'm a casual tea drinker so mine will be on display more than it'll be used. As such, I expect it will last me a while but if that changes, I'll come back and update this review.

If you're a tea drinker, a fan of Little Shop of Horrors, or both, you need one or more. Large bowl to allow water circulation through the tea leaves. Fine mesh to minimize the settling of sediment. And who doesn't love Audrey Jr!?

I had to have this tea strainer. Had to. I spammed my friends and family with Little Shop of Horrors gifs for two full days. I really thought it would just be something neat to play with, which it is, but it's also now my favorite tea strainer. It's better quality and heavier than I expected. The handle is easy to operate and the heat from the water doesn't travel so high you can't touch the end with your bare hand. The rubberized parts are solid; they don't get softer in the hot water (that would be terrifying). The leaves help guide the liquid out when you remove it from the water. I often drink a tea with pretty large leaves and the teeth help hold in any tea leaves that don't make it all the way inside the metal trap. It's VERY fun to snap. I have no complaints and would buy it again. However, it is worth noting that if you don't like any bits of tea leaves in your cup, this may not be the right strainer for you as there is no mesh and the holes are a little on the large side.

I'd ordered this and forgotten about the design element of it. Makes me laugh when I use it, half Little Shop of Horrors, half Mario pipe plant.Perfect for when using my loose leaf tea. Easy rinse to clean, though I tend to overfill it and then have to grab the debris out of the sink strainer.

This product looks great but the holes are too big, will only work with the chunkier of loose leaf tea otherwise all the smaller bits come out
