Grass Run Farms 100% Grass Fed Beef Sticks, Variety, 1 Ounce

These beef sticks are great. They have the consistency of a slim jim. They are not the drier wrinkly kind that you seen in bulk at 711(the ones with the twisty ties at the end). These have a blunt cut end and a squeaky casing. I enjoy all three flavors, they aren't too different from each other but I always enjoy having a variety to my snacks. Can't beat the price. I'm not on a special diet or anything, I just really like dried beefs.*Updated Review*Upon my second order, the item has been changed. They are now a different size, they are shorter and have a larger circumference. I don't know if this is related, but they no longer have a "squeaky" bite to them, in fact the loose casing starts peeling into a gross mess when you bite into it. Looks gross so I've been peeling it off and throwing it in the garbage.

These are pretty tasty snacks - and I do like the fact that there are no additives to this grass fed beef, but after seeing many of the reviews from those that have been purchasing these for quite some time - I am disappointed in the fact that the company decided to keep the prices at the same level while shrinking the size of the beef stick. I'd give 4-5 stars fro taste and quality of the product I received, but have to remove those two stars for the cost remaining high for less product. Note to manufacturer/seller: Consider lowering the prices or offer more sticks in the pack if you are going to keep the prices the same.

This breaks down for original, jalapeno, and smoky sweet to be 70 cal, 45 cal from fat, 2.5 g of saturated fat, sodium range from 220 g to 290 mg, 15 to 20 mg of cholesterol, 0 to 2 carbohydrates, 5 to 6 g of protein. They also state that there is no wheat gluten, sodium nitrite, MSG, soy, hydrolyzed vegetable protein, or corn syrup. It is 100% grass fed beef and antibiotic/hormone free.• Organic ingredients is always a plus (not particularly the grass fed beef because we know its grass fed, but some of the other spices and peppers/casing)Overall:The short of it is this is the best grass fed beef snack I have come across. I’ve tried many and most of them have soy or some other ingredient that I was not looking for in a minimal, more Paleo style snack. I can’t really compare this to a Slim Jim, like they do on their own website, because I haven’t had one in over 15 years but I can say that these aren't very oily and have a great texture to them. My favorite style is jalapeno which really isn't that spicy but has a little kick to it. I think the sampler pack is a great way to go as there all delicious…. but then you can narrow down on the one that you most prefer. I Hope that this review is helpful for when you make your decision. I included some pictures of the actual product and texture.

Great for healthy snack at work.... Taste like slim Jim but healthier. Cheaper than Chomps./ addendum: although really good I notice there was less beef in the individual packages, maybe by a couple of inches.... The first batch had more meat the 2bs batch I ordered had less but I was still charged the same price??? Not going to pay same for less... Fix the problem and I will order again!!!!

Tasted pretty good, the smoky sweet were by far the best tasting. One thing I did notice is they were not all the same length, some were at least a bite shorter than others. I may buy again and I may not.

Got the sampler pack, enjoyed the Smokey Sweet. The Jalapeno were good as well, but spicy is not what I want with my jerky. The original were my least favorite, I tend to prefer sweet/smokey/teriyaki though so that was more expected. Definitely planning on grabbing some more Smokey Sweet!

The sizes of the sticks are very random, some have more. some have less. great price for what you get though! tastes very healthy! ahha probably because you dont taste those nasty oil you usually get from slim jims

These are amazing! I bought the sample pack, and grabbed a jalapeno stick first... didn't mean to, because they were for my husband, but they weren't too spicy, really delicious. Then I had a smokey sweet stick... delicious! Then I had the original flavor, also delicious! I highly recommend these for a protein snack. No gluten, no soy, no nitrates/nitrites, just good clean food. I also noticed on one of the Questions/Answers that the jalapeno and original flavors meet the whole 30 requirements. Smokey sweet has brown sugar in it. I am so impressed with this product, and I want to try some of their other products.
