Apple Lightning to HDMI Adapter, Digital AV Audio Dongle, 1080P Sync Screen Cable for iPhone, iPad, iPod to TV/Projector/Monitor, MFi Certified Video Converter

Got this device so that my wife could have her Peloton app and rowing app on a big TV screen instead of her iPhone. It works perfectly! The sound and video are clear and everything is in sync. There was nothing to configure, she plugged the adapter into her phone and it just worked. You can watch Netflix (and probably others) on it but regular iPhone apps appear to work just fine and look great on the big screen.

This does work, but keep in mind some websites may be restricted on what you can watch. I hoped it would work with the free NFL app, and it did during preseason, but the regular season games were blocked. (Probably if I had the paid NFL app, it would work fine, I'm just trying to watch for free.) However, it did work to watch cup races from the Nascar site, there's just no commentary. I plan to also use this to show my elderly grandmother (who doesn't have internet access) my vacation pictures and videos from my phone, and the picture quality is quite good.

UPDATE: Ever since we tried this adapter and experienced the weird green glitches while it was connected to our tv, our tv continues to show a green glitch across the screen when watching movies/shows during dark scenes. WE RETURNED IT a long time ago and the glitches still occur randomly….. :( This absolutely does not work. It glitched out the TV, needs you to download an app to use, and of course it does not display the videos we bought it for. I would not recommend. I don’t know what the point of this adapter is honestly. But that’s why we should have bought the actual Apple product. Lesson learned.

Great Product

It's a cheap alternative to the official apple one if you want to dabble and NOT use airplay. It is not just perfectly plug and play, there's an app that it will ask for (it will work, display a screen with a code to get the link to the app store). Once the app is installed, I had no problem running the display with anything I used and it was pretty good. $17 instead of $60 for something we will only use now and then so didn't need something more expensive to collected dust. It can charge while in use and works.

I ordered this to connect my IPhone to the TV so I could watch Game Changer on a big screen. I also bought the PowerBear HDMI cable to go from the Lightning Adaptor to the TV. The picture was clear and the audio came through with no problem. I did have to turn the phone in a horizontal position so the screen was fully utilized. Works great!

Some times this works. All of sudden the video stops streaming and only audio is heard. At times both audio and video stops streaming to my monitor where as my monitor works with my computer without any issues. When I connect both power and media output, keeps stop streaming. I would not recommend this product if you using this for mirroring your iphone/ipad to a bigger display like monitor.

Muy sencillo se configurar y usar, un buen producto, lo pude conectar tanto a mi pantalla como a un proyector (incluso usando un adaptador de HDMI a vga por mi tipo de proyector ) y funciona bastante bien No funciona para apps de streaming por la codificación pero funciona en las demás apps
