Works with 2006 Prius, saved me hundreds of $ compared to dealership
Works perfectly with Toyota Prius (2006).My previous HID headlights started to prematurely fail by turning off intermittently (infamous 06-09 Prius behavior, there was a class action lawsuit and settlements against it but it's too late to claim reimbursements/warranty now). At a local Toyota dealership I was quoted $170 for parts and $130 for labor to replace ONE side. That is $600 just to replace two headlights! Appalled, I searched online, found a few videos of some guys replacing the bulbs by themselves, decided to give it a shot myself and purchased a pair of these Maxlux HID 5000K (White) bulbs. Best bargain. Even though struggling to remove the plastic cover took me 30min (screws were too tight b/c they've been there for 10 yrs on my 10yr old car), I got through the actual swapping of the light bulbs in about 25min (most of which I spent figuring out how to pull out the old bulb b/c I couldn't see very well and wasn't sure). Time spent well worth it to save $550.I've been using the lights for about 2 weeks with no complaints. I'd buy these any time and do the replacement myself again.

Maxlux HID 6000K D4C
Bought these D4C bulbs for a 07 Lexus GS that has original equipment Phillips D4S. The OEM bulbs are generally D4S or D4R, the difference being (it is my understanding) if the application is straight or if a reflector is used. The Lexus has projector style headlamps, so the application is straight (D4S). Functionally I'm not sure how one bulb can be optimal for both applications but, you can't find D4S bulbs for less than $100 each so we decided to roll the dice with these D4Cs at $46/pair through Amazon Prime. The bulb has a similar physical appearance to the OEM bulb except it has extra cut outs at the base (ostensibly so it fits the D4R socket as well). Holding and rolling the new & old bulb together, I could not convince myself that the cutouts lined up perfectly. Inserting the bulbs is a contorted, blind procedure so it's best to practice with the old bulb so as not to fingerprint the new one. The old one goes in relatively easily. The new one, with more cut outs, had to fiddle with and twisted repeatedly until I could convince myself it was seated properly. I replaced them both so that the color would match.Online I read that you want to run them for 15 minutes to "break in" the bulbs--not sure if that's necessary but easy enough to do. The test drive revealed the (6000k) bulbs cast a nice pattern of whiter light than the OEM 4300 bulbs. It's noticeably whiter than the DRL and high beams. The light pattern did not shake on the test drive and no one flashed their brights at me so I'm satisfied I installed them correctly.Overall, I'm very satisfied with the initial quality of these bulbs, especially at this price. I would give it five stars if the base cutouts were identical to OEM as that would make it a little easier to install. If you're trying to replicate your OEM look, you may try the 4300 bulbs, which I assume would look more like the original.Update: One of these MaxLux bulbs burned out after 18 months, (the OEM bulbs lasted over six years). I'd like to know what the warranty info is on this product but clicking the link on the the Amazon page just opens up "Your Recently Viewed Items and Featured Recommendations " and no warranty info. These bulbs cost about 25% of what the OEM bulbs do but you have to replace both so the color matches, so the savings is really half of the OEM bulbs. Budget an hour to disassemble the car to install--which apparently may be every 18 months? --We'll see what the warranty is on this item. If they feel 18 months for their product is reasonable, you may want to look elsewhere for bulbs if you plan on keeping your vehicle for a long time.

Absolutely Brilliant.....but they do not last long....not even 4 months
I have had them installed in My 2007 Lexus ES 350 for a couple weeks now and they are a brilliant white with a definitely noticeable light output at 6000k versus the OEM bulbs. I would absolutely recommend this product over the pricey HID bulbs from the dealer or the parts store.Update.....12/15/2016 my left light (drivers side) began flickering, thought maybe it was a bad connection, removed, reinstalled, same result. Shortly after that, intermittent outages and now the right (Passengers side) is flickering, removed and reinstalled....Both bulbs were installed at the same time, clean environment, no fingerprints very much by the book....Worth mentioning, both bulbs look blackened and are in need of replacement.....Where to turn? OEM is expensive, but at the lifespan of less than 4 months I would end up buying these same bulbs 3 times a year at $53 each time? I suppose OEM is not all that pricey.

Never touch the bulb glass with your hands.
I replaced both of my Lexus OEM HID bulbs as one of them would randomly go out while driving. The replace was easy as long as you knew how to remove the Lexus covers under the hood. Took me about 15 minutes in total to replace both. Now that I know how to do it, should only take five minutes. The bulbs themselves have been so far so good. Had them for about a month now. Bright white light that covers a good distance. I feel at peace when driving at night. The next thing that I can't review now but will at a later date if it becomes a problem is longevity. If this bulb doesn't last, I'll be sure to return here and let you know, but so far so good.UPDATE 7/7/2020: It's been over a year and it's still working perfectly fine.

they were amazing and worked perfectly until a month ago when the ...
Installed these headlights into my 2009 Lexus IS250 about a year ago, they were amazing and worked perfectly until a month ago when the drivers side started flickering and eventually would go out. Thanks to the two year warranty on them I was able to get a new bulb for free! However now the passenger side is doing the same thing. Although it is nice and easy to get a replacement on the warranty I would not recommend these unless you want your headlights to last less than a year.

Don't waste your money on these crap bulbs.
DONT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY!!!! If I could give zero stars, i would! Bulbs barely lasted a few months. I made this mistake twice now thinking I maybe just got a bad batch but with the money I spent on 2 sets in a year I could have bought the OEM Philips set and not had to worry about it for 6 years like my original set lasted!!
