Perfect - and you can cut the wire flush with the head easily
These guys are great! Im using on Cat6 solid wire 23 gauge. Very easy to use and so nice to be able to push the wires all the way through the head and cut off the excess. Now, to all those who say you end up with a bit of extra wire that you are not able to cut off, all you need to do is pull the head back a bit after you trim the wire so that no excess is sticking out. Essentially all I do is push the wires as far through the head as I can, cut as flush as possible and then pull the head back (opposite direction) to suck the extra 1/16 of wire flush with the head. Then you clamp down on the head and you are good to go!

Be careful with passthrough connectors
Only thing I dislike and warn people about is using this type of connector in a POE environment. The end can short out in certain devices. Better to use a splicers/data scissor to cut the end than using a passthrough termination tool to cut the end. I push all the wire way through the passthrough, cut with scissors as close as possible, then slide the wire back about 2mm into the connector and crimp as not to have any wires exposed at the tip of the passthrough. Hope this helps.

Good, but, CAT 6 ONLY!
These seem to be pretty solid, nicely built, HOWEVER, it says CAT6. What they mean by CAT6 is that it is ONLY CAT6. I tried to use these with CAT5e cable and the wire would not fit at all. I am assuming that 22GA wire in CAT5e just is too big for the CAT6/23GA openings in these RJ-45 connectors. Other than that, they seem nicely built. So make sure you label your connectors in your toolbox so you don't spend 5 minutes trying to wedge a CAT6 connector onto a CAT5 cable!! They put in the description that it takes 23-24GA wires, so I guess its my mistake, so I am not knocking off a star for it.

Perfect for professionals or beginners
Purchased these a while back and they turned out to be very useful. Don't have to hassle with getting the CAT wires cut perfectly, simply splice, arrange wires, feed through the connector and terminate the end. Saves me a lot of time doing so then just fiddling around with getting it in the "perfect" spot and judging the distance needed to cut at.Highly recommend for anyone who does their own cables or just starting (like I have) to simplify the process and near elimination of tedious and redundant work of "getting it in the perfect location" when creating new terminations. Will be purchasing same product again in the future!

Makes it much easier to verify the correct order of colored wires before crimping
For some reason, at least one I used had problems connecting into the CAT6 port -- must have been slightly misshapened or something. Otherwise, they were easy to use. Would have been easier if I had had a crimper that would have cut the wires along the edge before crimping but I made do with small side cutters and then drawing the wires back a little before crimping.

Great system - would highly recommend the plugs and the tool
Hi have been using these "pass through" RJ45 connectors along with the crimping tool for several years. It is well worth the extra cost. I rarely have a bad crimp. It really saves time not having to trim the strands before inserting them into the plug. It also makes it very easy to get a clean good looking connection every time. The only thing I do not like is that there is no clear distinction between the Cat5e plugs and the Cat6 plugs. That is I inadvertently mixed the two together and now there is no way to tell the two apart unless you put the cat6 onto cat5e cable. It would be nice if they had some sort of marking on them.

Don't waste your time with these! Read Udate!
I usually prefer to wait until I thoroughly test a product before leaving a review but these knock-off connectors were to good to be true, price wise and piece count for price. They are very difficult to insert into most RJ45 ports I've tried, like my Comcast and TP-Link routers, Netgear 5-port switch, even the new Cable Matters 25-Pack Cat6 RJ45 Keystone Jacks I purchased. They are nearly impossible to pull back out once plugged in any RJ45 port. I should have gone with the original ones from Platinum Tools which are more in price for a reason. I have to do a medium size install within next few days with over 25 drops and these plugs really puts me behind schedule. Don't waste your time with these!UPDATEI WAS TOTALLY WRONG about this product.Upon recieving these, I quickly put one of these connectors in a RJ45 port and could not get it out due to it not being crimped yet. Silly me, once I fully tested a connector by properly inserting the cat6 wiring through it and crimping the connector, every connector I used work without any issues to date. I would and have purchased more since then and would totally recommend buying if you want to utilize and quick and easy way to connect your home or small business network.

STAY AWAY!!!
We're a local small business in Seattle - my team and I are seasoned and very experienced, 5-star rated everywhere, in short, quality is our aim. I generally purchase my low volt material from larger reputable suppliers, but we ran low and figured I could get something quickly on Amazon until my bulk orders arrive, man did I make a mistake. The pins that you crimp down, are literally falling out of the connectors, the image I shared, is 1 of 4 jars where the pins are rattling around the bottom of the jar. We opened 2 jars and had 2 veteran techs questioning themselves on how to crimp a single connector until we realized it was all garbage. Even the connectors that were whole did not work correctly. Unreliable product leads to lost time, this was an expensive mistake.

Not of the same spec as the 'real' connectors from Platinum tools
I bought these as a cheap alternative (-50%) for the original (?) connectors from Platinum Tools. But with the Platinum Tools crimping tool the strands 1 and 8 are not properly cut off. They will work, but if you are a professional you should avoid these as they add to much 'uncertainty' to the whole process of custom installation. Buy the original connectors from Platinum Tools instead!
