This is an easter gift for my son. I have the apple tree one already and I thought this was a nice non-chocolate gift that he will love. I have been through it and I am sure he will love it

We gave this as a birthday gift for a 5 year old (along with a flashlight from the dollar store). It was a big hit. Her parents liked it so much they asked where we got it. They thought it was a great gift. If you are looking for something to gift that isn't a toy, this is great. The flashlight and hidden items, make it interesting and fun for kids.

Okay, so I love all of the shine-a-light books, but as a geologist I am totally enamored by this edition. Journey to the center of the earth with only the aid of your flashlight! It’s an engaging and interesting, fact-filled read, and just like every other book the added manipulative of using the flashlight to reveal hidden images captures my son’s attention. Huzzah!!
