When I opened the bottle I was really impressed by how fresh the herb smelled! I’ve trusted Nature’s Way for over 10 years now and the quality has not waivered. I use natural herbs to supplement a healthy diet and recovery from exercise or illness.

The problem with a lot of supplements is that it can be difficult to know if they are actually doing anything for you. Some are more immediate to notice affects on your body (such as potassium, vitamins B, C, E, and D), but others are not as definitive (e.g., quercetin, ginseng, etc.), and not all have studies to back up the purported health benefits and those that do may not have much data or scientific study to make the larger community stand behind them.So what makes this a good immune support supplement? Let’s start with the vitamins and minerals (C, D, and zinc). These are common in many cold lozenges and have been proven to help fight off colds. Then there are the other ingredients (EpiCor®, sambucus, echinacea, ginger, quercetin, and turmeric). Some of these other ingredients are arguably good for you in the long run, but some may argue are a waste of investment. EpiCor® is one of the interesting ones as it focuses on gut health by providing postbiotics. If you research gut health, you will find an increasing number of medical publications and research that links a healthy gut to a better immune system (we shouldn’t say it is the only factor, but it is a large contributing factor).I think this is a good immune support supplement and I like that it has a blend of different ingredients that focus on different areas of the body’s health. It isn’t just pushing a ton of vitamins and minerals, it isn’t just pushing plant based ingredients with varying factors that should promote long term health benefits, it is also provided a fermented supplement that promotes good gut health and immune support benefits. This is more of a short term plus longer term supporting group of ingredients to help strengthen ones immune system. Some of the ingredients are more proven than others, but those ingredients seem to be quality and I think this is worth taking if you feel it is worth the expense.

These capsules provide a good blend of immune supporting ingredients. Each serving is 2 capsules and each bottle provides 40 servings. I don't take these everyday, but I have found that when I am run down or feeling stressed, these really work to make me feel better. I find that in those times, if I take them for about a week, it makes a big difference. Recently during a stressful time I started to get a cold sore which is my body's way of telling me my it's running down and I could get sick. I immediately started taking these and my cold sore never fully developed and I started to feel much better even though the stress remained.

At the suggested 2 capsules per day, this works out to 60 cents per day. It includes, in addition to elderberry extract (50 mg) and “EpiCor” (500 mg), a lot of vitamin C (1,111% RDA), vitamin D (250% RDA), and Zinc (200% RDA). To my knowledge, there are no ill effects of excess C, D, or Zinc. Nor is there any established dose for elderberry extract or EpCor. This combination seems a reasonable one to take during cold season. The capsules are about 25 mm long, so approximately standard size and about as easy to swallow as any.

Trusted brand. It has all the goodness that one needs in today's climate. I appreciate the D, Zinc, and Elderberry the most. The only thing that would have made it a hair better would be the addition of "K" which helps the D absorb.Overall, a brand that has been around for awhile with solid immune boosting ingredients. It puts a little pep in my step when I take it.

This is just over a month supply of great immunity-boosting ingredients like zinc, vitamin C, elderberry, echinacea, ginger, turmeric, etc.It may be on the pricey side but it contains a higher daily value of many of these ingredients than cheaper supplements, especially the gummy type.High quality. Would definitely order again.

Immune support products are always difficult to qualify the effectiveness of, but generally I tend to trust those where I feel a slight overall improvement (very slight) while taking them. I didn't notice anything at all positive from these. Granted, I didn't get sick while taking them, so they might have been doing something, but it was impossible for me to tell. On the maybe-negative side, unlike other products with elderberry in them, I actually felt vaguely congested after taking these. Testing by going several days off before going back on matched up completely to that feeling. Maybe it's one of the other ingredients? In any case, while I don't think they're bad, I have no reason to purchase more of them, especially for the price. They were easy to swallow, which was a plus.
