Hestan Provisions – 14.5" Classic Clad Roaster with Stainless Steel Rack

Had to replace an old pan that had long outlived its usefulness. After searching for one that was made of bonded stainless steel instead of aluminum, was the right size with handles that were large enough to be useful but not too small, decently heavy but not so heavy that it couldn’t easily be lifted when full, I found this pan by Hestan. It looks great, is flat on the bottom instead of slightly concave like so many less expensive pans, is perfectly weighted, broiler-safe, and is easy to clean. It’s used often around here.

I had my fingers crossed that this would fit in my small oven. It does! The outside measurement is exactly 15 1/2" x 12" x 3" high; 5" high including handles. It is roomier than I expected for being a “small” roaster. The heavy duty rack sits up high in the pan for good air circulation when roasting. It works perfectly on my induction burner. It is a heavy, solid roaster with a flawless finish that feels like it will last a lifetime.

Yes, it is expensive, but you get exactly what you pay for. I caught it on sale. If you have a countertop oven this is perfect. We use our toaster oven often so we don't have to power up our doubles. The quality and the heft of this pan allows food to cook and bake much better. I am certainly impressed. It's 100% better than those lousy aluminum or cheap steel pans you buy for $10-15. The steels rust within a few months and are thrown out. This pan will be passed down like the cast iron. I highly recommend this pan and it will not be going back.

FINALLY. The perfect roasting pan. I wanted one that worked well, was made of good material that wasn't going to flake or scratch off, easy to clean and easy to use. This. Is. It. Slightly expensive but compared to some of the pans out there, this was the best value for the performance and qualities I wanted. I could not find a better pan. Even the super expensive ones did not have the qualities this pan has. If you are looking for a roasting pan that you will use for life and probably pass down in your family, this one is it. I also liked the size. Easy fit in the oven but also large enough it held/cooked a 20 lb ham. I have also used it for an 8 lb turkey and it was perfect. The only thing that might be a turn off for people is that it is very high quality material and solid. So it is on the hefty side. Luckily for us, this is not an issue. LOVE LOVE LOVE this pan.
