Gives the 07-up GM 5.3 a throatier, more open sound
My Tahoe now has the burble at idle, and growl under load, of an Escalade/Denali or HD gas Silverado/Sierra. No longer a V8 sewing machine! Also "gets on it" a bit better thanks to the higher flow versus the stock muffler. If you are looking to get noise ordinance violations, look elsewhere - but if you want a classy, performance-oriented tone with a performance gain to match, go with the Dynomax Ultra Flo. Seemed to be well-crafted upon pre-installation inspection. Couldn't be happier.

Nice mellow sound. Not too loud.
Installed on a Silverado with 5.3L. Other than this muffler everything else is factory. Nice low volume idle, but has a more aggressive sound when accelerating. Seems to be no drone at 55-60MPH. Will update when I install headers.Edit: very aggressive with headers. Raspy muscle car sound. Goes well with the slight chop of the cam too. Thumbs up.

Quieter than Magna flow of the same size.
I installed it on 2012 Tahoe with 5.3. Barely louder than stock with 24inch body . On my 2008 Yukon I installed Magna flow of the same size which is much deeper sporty sound.
