- How to use: 1) Open the pack. 2) Put enough hot water or cold water till line indication. 3) Close the pack again. 4)After about 10 minutes (in the case of cold water, after 30 minutes), put sauce (spice) of proper amount and mix. 5) Enjoy your meal. - NOTE: When you put "Red pepper paste sauce", adjust according to your taste. Because some people can feel that Korean red pepper sauce is strong and pungent. - Red and green package will send randomly, exactly the same taste and products.

Spicy and yummi
I was a soldier in South Korea back in 1998. I purchased this one to see if it's the real MRE.Yes, it is. It's the real MRE of Korea Army. I remember when our company was in winter training at 5 Fahrenheit, we ate this one for surviving.I think this would be a little bit spicy for American but it's really delicious. Be sure to pour the boiled water at the proper level.I will eat this one for lunch at my office sometimes later or at camping site with my family.

Great taste, less trash!
I was looking for a meal replacement over standard MREs as I feel there is a lot of excess packaging and trash associated with them. These freeze-dried bibimbap bags are a good replacement or supplement to have a "change of pace" for your camping/hiking/survival foods. Tear open the top of the main pouch and inside are two seasoning packs and the food. Take out the two small packs and set aside. Fill the main pouch with 6-8oz of boiling water and reseal the bag. Wait 10-15 mins, then open the bag and add the contents of the two smaller flavor packs. Stir and enjoy. You can use cold water, but the soak time will increase to 30+ minutes before adding the flavor packs.Pros:Very filling, easy to prepare, great tasteCons:Slightly noisy packaging, high sodiumTesting variations: I prepared one meal using warm water and waited about 10 minutes, the rice was still crunchy. The second meal I used hot water and waited 10 minutes, and the rice was softer, but still had a hard texture. My last meal I added water that came to a boil, and waited the 10 minutes, and this yielded the best results. It can be hard to judge the amount of water being added to the pouch due to the contents float, so ensure you pre-measure your water. You can adjust water content to your preference, standard is about 6-8oz, but I've added water after preparation for more "soup". If you add too much water initially you will never get the bag sealed for steeping. These have very high sodium content (90% of daily), so I'd not eat more than 1-2 a day. Up to you.

The package says it comes with 3. I only got 2. I really don't have time to be assed into complaining about this. Not going to order again.

Convenient but not much beef or flavor
I bought a few of these based on reviews to take out backpacking as a simple rice based meal. I tried one out today at home and I was a bit underwhelmed by the flavor, even after adding the entire spice packet. The "beef" is sorta a chewy mystery meat and doesn't add much flavor. The dehydrated veggies are better and the little bits of carrot and onion are good. The texture on the rice was a bit "chewy" but not bad otherwise, this was after adding 6 OZ boiled water and letting it sit for 10-12 minutes.Solid option for a light weight rice based meal while on the trail but not something I'd buy a lot of I can see myself getting tired of them after a few meals. My pack came with the spoons and spice sauce but not any sesame oil. I can see the sesame oil adding quit a bit of flavor and savory fat taste so that's a bit of a bummer. I didn't find the MRE overly spicy but obviously tastes vary.

Gone Nuclear!
This stuff is radioactive spicy! I love it! You can put in a little or a lot of sauce. I started with half a packet. This worked for me. Then I worked my way up gradually to a full packet. It's also good without the sauce, but I recommend putting some in. Adding in the sesame oil is essential, however imho.

Great little MREs!
Pretty good, little MRE rice entrees from South Korea. Great for taking along on camping trips. Or keeping at your desk for a quick lunch. This meal comes with a rice pack and a spoon. You'll get 3 rice packs and 2 spoons with your order. To prep your rice, just remove the small packets of Korean chili sauce and sesame oil. Add water to the rice up to the fill, close up again, and let sit for AT LEAST 10 minutes. The rice will be ready then. There's a little bit of veggies and meat mixed in. Just add the oil and chili sauce and bon ápetit!A word on the chili sauce. If you're used to spicy foods like me, this rice won't be too bad. The chili, to me, had a slight kick. I used the whole packet. If you're not used to the heat, just enough to suit your own preference. The consistency and texture were good. It was a pretty good sized portion too. The flavor was great! But it could have used a little salt. I personally used Tajin chili citrus salt on mine. It pairs nicely with the rice.So I highly recommend these MREs and I'll be buying some more again.

Good, but not super spicy.
Based on some of the other reviews, I was expecting this to be tongue-blisteringly spicy. It is not. It is good though. I would rate the heat as a low-medium. Think less than Sriracha sauce, or jalapenos. The flavor is good, and they are really easy to prepare. You simply add water, reseal the bag, and add the flavorings when you are done. You could probably add them at the same time without effecting anything. These are more expensive than US MRE entrees, but make for a good change of pace. And they are light weight. The kids and I liked them.

Convenient! Perfect for camping!
We wanted to try this out and the flavor was really good! Because we were trying it out at home, we used a bowl but the packaging is very convenient to eat out of. They give you two slits - one to cook and one to cut when you’re ready to eat. The two step slits makes it very convenient to eat out od the bag. It would be perfect for camping or lunch at work/picnic/etc.Be careful with the red sauce!!! DO NOT put it all in at once. I think they give you more than enough so add as you taste. If you put the whole sauce in at once, it could be too spicy or unnecessarily too saucy. The price is a bit higher than what I think it’s worth. I don’t think I would purchase this regularly but definitely if I am going camping or to the lake!
