Bought as a present. Great idea for those who love to grow indoor plsnts

I sowed these along with another set of seeds of the same species in the same environment.The germination rate of these was much lower, at about 30-50% compared to the other seeds which were 80%+.Pot on the left are the seeds from this product. Seeds on the right are from another company.Same species, soil, watering, environment, amount of seeds planted, all the same.Will not be buying from OwnGrown again.

Seeds arrived and are out of date, so won’t be wasting good soil on them. In the bin. Too much grief to return

This pack of mixed cactus seeds came in a plain paper packet (no foil envelope for freshness). My packet contained 43 seeds. Frustratingly there is no mention of the different varieties/species of cacti seeds you get, so it will be guesswork when they reach adult height/spread which could be several years.I am a qualified horticulturist but I followed the packet instructions. With a mix of compost and sand, I dampened the planting medium and sprinkled the seeds on top, with a small dusting of horticultural sand. I placed it in a heated propagator (set to 19ºC), and within 5 days, the first seeds started to sprout. It has now been 3 weeks, and about 15 have sprouted, and appear to be doing well.If there was foil packet, and a list of the different cacti seeds in the packet, this would have been a 5-star review, but as it is 4-stars is still one worthy of me recommending these to you.

I bought these for fun just because.I would like to report that after 2 weeks in a mini propigator, I already have 3 shoots. I can't wait to see what they will be

I planted these seeds over a month ago and none of them have sprouted so far. I believe I followed the instructions correctly, but it's possible that the temperature/humidity/some other variable hasn't been right for them to appear. So for now, I'll rate them with 3 stars, and I'll amend the review if/when they do sprout. The instructions are clear and seemingly easy to follow and there appear to be a wide variety of seeds included, so I am hopeful that I'll see some green appearing in the seedbeds soon.

The media could not be loaded. ***update***After 2 months I have 7 baby cactus, photos/video added. Some germinated sooner and I’ve had 2 germinate in the last couple of weeks. I’ve kept the propagator lid on and they’re quite happy in full sun. Happy to recommend!———————————————————————***Original Review***How unusual in all my time of gardening I’ve never came across cactus seeds. This pack is a selection and you’re not told what you are getting! So it’s all quite exciting until you get germination.I’ve planted these in a propagator sat on a heat mat for a consistent temperature and then covered with foil as per the instructions. I used a mix of seed compost mixed about 50/50 with sand as this is recommended for cactus. As yet (5 days) there’s no sign of germination. The packet does state that it can take up to 2 months (60 days) for germination of some varieties.Im excited to see what I get and at £2.95 (March ‘22) it’s a gamble I’ll get anything. Time will tell and I will report back! As yet I can neither recommend or not until after 60days.
