Digitally remastered and expanded two CD edition of this 1989 album, the only solo full-length to date from Paul Rutherford, former Frankie Goes to Hollywood singer and icon of '80s pop. Includes much sought-after early remixes by the likes of Arthur Baker and David Morales. Lead track is the acid house anthem 'Get Real', which - like Frankie Goes to Hollywood's 'Relax' - received an airplay ban from the BBC. Three tracks - including a beautiful cover of Chic's 'I Want Your Love' - are co-written and produced by Martin Fry and Mark White of ABC. 17 bonus tracks include all the A-side mixes, B-sides, 12" remixes and promo-only tracks - many of which appear on CD for the first time. Cherry Pop. 2011.

Still Amazing
This is one of my all time favourite albums. It is still amazing to listen to after all these years. The re-issue was well worth buying, not only for the extras [Amazing] but the re-mastering is superb. I got rid of my stereo about 2 years ago, and play all my music either thru iPod or the dvd surround. This re-issue sounds unbelievable thru the dvd player. Deep, warm and the beats are crisp. Excellent job. The second disc is basically the 3 singles released from the album at the time [Get Real = Still a club favourite and rightly so; Oh World = The Delerium Mix is simply beautiful; and my favourite the Chic cover I Want Your Love - I remember playing the 12" of this on repeat when I first got my grubby hands on it back in the day:)] and the various mixes they came in on vinyl, most on CD for the first time. [When this was released in 1989 originally, CDs were still a rarity for albums, never mind for singles]This is in no way a Frankie Goes To Hollywood album [although like Relax, Get Real was banned by the BBC and sent the sales of the single soaring, although unfortunately not to Frankie like millions] This is still Paul Rutherford's only proper album to date; he has done other work and collaborations, but I really do wish he would just get in the studio and make a masterpiece for the 21st Century. If you ever read this Paul [:-D] Get your finger out!

The most under rated pop disk ever!! Maybe we can get a catch of WHY FGTH sound was a smash hit? We'll never known, but you get a sparkling glimpse of this with this material. This guy just came to dance but made a huge record with this!! Thanks Paul.
