Held up to pulling a 2 door Jeep up an obstacle off-roading in Moab
There are a lot of these soft shackles on the market...many are priced in the $45 and up range. I picked up this Smittybilt as a trail spare just in case - At the $25 price, it was hard to beat. While navigating up one of the popular trails in Moab, we snagged at a spot where a stock 2 door Wrangler JL hit the proverbial vertical impasse. Within seconds, this shackle was connected to the upright hook on the Jeep bumper and with a nudge or two on a winch, the 2 door JL cleared the approach and climbed the obstacle. The shackle held up well and i'd definitely buy again. It's larger than other 7/16" soft shackles i've used and, as a result, the ball-end and slip closure function was easy to manipulate to ensure a good grip. It was also easy to disconnect (i.e. open back up) after pulling the vehicle up the steep incline.Welcome Smittybilt making these in colors other than the steel gray (which is fine for function)...I prefer orange, red or yellow for safety at snatch points when conducting off-road recoveries or trail assists.

solid budget shackle
Great budget shackle, works as it should. I've only used it twice to pull mildly stuck vehicles out of the sand and snow, but it did great, no issues getting it on and off.

good product
There are other soft shackles that are cheaper and more expensive. This one is a good compromise on price and quality of product. Much easier to use and safer than a metal D-ring shackle.

One tuff shackle
Worked great used it to winch out a Silverado and Jeep stuck in mud hole at a local off-road park. Shackle held up and definitely passed the stress test.

Very good for the money
In the picture attached you can see the shackle attached to my bumper. I have not been a fan of smitty bilt products in the past but have to say for the money these soft shackles are very nice. I have used them to attach my winch line to an anchor point to winch up a waterfall and to attach a tow strap to my front bumper to allow another vehicle to pull me up over an obstacle. Having seen the damage caused when a metal shackle failed I feel much safer using these especially when combined with synthetic winch line. And they are much faster and easier to use than a metal d ring shackle.

Belongs in every chev truck toolbox
Very good quality. Perfect because a normal shackle is too big to use on my truck tow hooks.
