Contemporary Abstract Algebra 8th Edition

Ordered this for school after using the free pdf online for a while and it saved my life. I hate reading off of the computer screen and I really enjoy owning my math books so that I can use them in my future as an educator.

We used this book as we studied Group Theory. This book was incredibly helpful. I love all of the detailed proofs, helpful hints on problems, as well as interesting summaries of famous mathematicians related to this field. It is an accessible book, and worth the money.

Good book for intro to abstract algebra and algebra2. Only problem is that some proofs are vague and hard to understand, need some times to figure them out. Other than that, it is perfect. Love it.

This is a very tricky text to read, but very useful.
