Amazing - Inexpensive - Reasonable - Reliable
I got the 6-pack 05 set of earth tone colors and I'm blown away with the colors. They dry to the exact same consistency regardless of the pen that is used - and they look great. Nice and clean matte finish, they almost look like mini paint strokes. I'm blown away with how well the colors work together in this set. They aren't over powering, and they aren't dull. They're great as complementary tools. I think I'll eventually fill out a collection of these pens slowly over the next year because these colors are so amazing - and the price is very reasonable as well. For around $10.00 you get 6 pens - even if you're not an artist these are also amazing writing pens because they don't bleed into other pages and they don't rub off. Amazing. Very impressed.

An artist instrument
These are ink pens or micro markers. They feel the right instrument for an architect, which to me implies they feel as if you had to have some special knowledge in how to handle them properly. I use them for a lab notebook and require archival quality which they have. Sometimes I feel that the Pilot G-Tec-C Ultra fine 0.4 mm are better for me because they never bleed and require less mastery to use properly. For instance, a G-Tec-C line always looks the same. A Sakura Pigma Micron line can vary in thickness depending on the inclination, a subtlety that goes way beyond what I need them for. As a result, the Sakura are also more fragile than the G-Tec-C rollerball pen, in that if they fell or you apply too much pressure (as in having a kid use them for a while) they do not always come back to original shape and thinness. The range of colors, and the specific selection of earth shades are great for drawing and diagraming.

Great colors, really nice pens
I am very happy with this purchase. Pens are terrific for writing & sketching. The 05 size is fine but robust enough to stand out on the page. Smooth flowing, subtle colors... These are wonderful! (I did just leave a negative review on a different set of Pigma Micron pens Sakura 50011 11-Piece Zentangle Clamshell Pencil Set that I ordered along with these... Those pens were dried out and unsatisfactory -- this set provided a good comparison with just how smooth flowing the 05 size is supposed to be. I probably would not have felt justified in leaving that review if I did not have these to compare...) I uploaded a picture to show colors and line widths compared to the Pigma Micron 08 and two Sharpies.

Micron Heritage Earth Set
The set comes with these colors; sepia, royal blue, burgundy, hunter green, blue/black and fresh green. They're fantastic art pens, really. I love them and they're great and all, but my only complain is that the blue/black pen seems to bleed just a smidge. It's no big deal if you're using these to write, but I was horribly upset when part of my drawing was fuzzy due to the bleeding ink. I've never had a micron do that before though, so it may have just been a faulty pen, or that particular color. All the other colors seem to work flawlessly, and over all I love them. I'd definitely purchase them again.

Loving colored Zentangles
I started out like most others doing zentangles in black and white but since I started using the colored pens it has added a whole new dimension to my tiles. The ink-flow is perfect, doesn't blot or skip so I always get nice even lines. The color is vibrant and even after drying looks as good as when it first goes on the tile or scrap paper that I'm doodling on. I love the Sakura pens and have tried other brands which have never felt as nice and smooth as the Pigma Micron pens. If you are doing professional work or just for your own enjoyment these pens are well worth every penny and with the variety I have tried I really couldn't recommend using anything else.

Sin duda, los mejores marcadores que he tenido! La tinta no se derrama en ningún tipo de hoja, yo lo utilizo para marcar mi Biblia y son perfectos. Los recomiendo ampliamente!

Lovely to write with and great for moleskin journals and dairies. Does not bleed through the paper-just as advertised.
