Purchased Oct 2015, Reveiwed Dec 2015 Purchased this for my 5 year old son who loves to go shopping with me :D I did consider buying this some time ago, but I didn't only because I feared it would be a waste of money... now that we have it, I wish I had bought it sooner. My son loves it, and he loves doing the shopping with it too. It definately makes him happier to be more involved in the big monthly shop (or bi-weekly smaller shopping depending where we go lol). Not that my son was a rascal before, but now he is even more well behaved than before and he loves the attention he gets when using it lol. Now some people will buy this only to be used at home... that's great too if you have a lot of space, but we chose not to do this for this trolley as my son used his previous plastic one at home to store things in.. and we have storage boxes for that purpose :) Anyway, this is very well made and very sturdy indeed. Now upon putting it together I first wondered why the trolley basket doesn't extend all the way to the front of the wheels just like on a full suze trolley, but afterwards I found it to be perfect as it leaves enough space for the parent to put your foot down on it to stop it from moving (like a brake). Which is great for making sure your child doesn't run off pushing the trolley all over the place if you don't want them too :D The other thing is the actual size of the basket... now it may look a little small in our eyes, but it's a good size for kids to put things in without it getting to heavy (which would also enable the brakes) and believe me, my son knows how to organise his shopping to put the most in it as possible lol. Oh and one last thing.... the handle bar can easily be unscrewed so that you can put your own label/message/name tag under the plastic cover of the handle (just like they put the stores name on it) which makes it even more personal for your child - Great!! Overall I give this 5 Stars... It will last a long time! Hope that helps and thanks for looking :D

My 6yr old son is obsessed with playing shops! But like most boys he can be rough and grumble and most other shop trolleys are cheaply made and haven't lasted long before broken. Also like many boys his age he hates to go shopping! So when I saw this I thought it looked fab! But was dubious about spending so much on a trolley! Well I'm not sorry I did. It's even better once out of the box! Well built and very sturdy, it's a great size and my 6yr old doesn't look too big pushing it around. Also with him being older he recognises that's it's very realistic to the trolley that mummy pushes about at the shops. He's had his favourite teddy in the seat and every shopping trip since has been hassle free! I only wish I'd found this sooner, we get loads of comments in store too. I'd recommend it to anyone it's been money well spent.

Although we got it in the sale I would still say its worth its money. It is literally like a mini trolley. Solid and sturdy and my daughter was so excited as its like the real thing. Think this is what gives it that extra specialness. It will last forever and her sister will grow into it. It will be a toy that will be used for years. My daughter up until now has had a plastic one that was a lot cheaper but kept needing to be fixed and she still played with that lots. Its a toy that might not be played with for a week or two but then got out again. Definately recommend. Go for it you won't be disapointed. I am a massive fan of melissa and doug toys anyway. I think they are the best toys around.

I cannot recommend this highly enough, my daughter loves it and it's incredibly sturdy and well designed. My daughter is 18 months old so it's a little bit high for her to see over at the moment but that didn't stop her wandering confidently up and down the aisles of our local supermarket with it last month. She loved choosing her fruit and veg (her fave foods at the moment) and putting them in her trolley before pushing it to the checkout to pay. So many people commented on how sturdy the trolley seemed, not to mention how cute my daughter looked pushing it all by herself! It's a lot more expensive than other toy trolleys on the market but in this instance you certainly get what you pay for, it's well worth the extra money.

I bought this for my just 2 year old, determined daughter. She is very independant and always wants to push the trolley when we go shopping without any help. She's not tall enough or strong enough to do this and shopping was becoming more of a challenge every time we went. We've only used this once, but so far so good! The trolley was big enough for fit quite a few items in - bit smaller than a shopping basket. It's not going to maks shopping any quicker - every other person wanted to stop to chat about it asking where it was from etc - maybe I could go on commission! Hopefully though there will be less tears and crossness - hers- and less occasions when I go to the checkout before I've finished to try and avoid a total melt down (again her not me!). Be wonderful to get to the freezers and if we can get as far as the wine then my life will be transformed! It's very strong, very sturdy my little girl has climbed on and in it and generally been an adrenalin junky and it looks like it will last for many many years.

Bought for my 6 year old autistic daughter who loves to play shop. Her and her friends absolutely love this toy. The toy is actually sturdier than I expected. Easy to build and good quality. Very happy with this purchase.

Bought after the cheaper trolley I planned to get was sold out. I've never been happier to pay 3x more than I originally wanted to. This trolley is an actual trolley but in smaller scale. Its steel construction is a little heavy but it gives it so much more strength and durability. Its also pretty easy to push, in the photo is my disabled 7 year old who knee walks or crawls to get around and not only can she push it but it's strong enough to help her balance. I'll be recommending this to anyone I know thats looking for a toy trolley. Now to save up for the rest of the shop 😄

Muy lindo este set para completar el mercado de Melissa and Doug. Las cajas que vienen son ligeramente resistentes pero no dejan de ser cajas, si tienes un niño menor de 3 años, seguramente no durarán mucho.

Bought it for my daughter's 5th Birthday. She absolutely loves it! Her and her little sister enjoy role playing, and have lots of fun playing "shops". It's very well made and quite sturdy. Fairly easy to set up (every part is numbered and follows the steps). The top sign didn't quite go all the way, and I didn't want to risk breaking it, but it still sits well. It has a small scribble "signature" pad, and the scanner beeps when you "scan" an item, which is pretty cool. You gotta roll the products yourself, but kids loved doing it. Doesn't come with accessories, but there's plenty out there :) (I did get one set of the same brand to "complete the look") Overall very satisfied with the product,and kids are loving it!!

Ammettiamolo subito: non è economico, anzi, più costoso di ogni altro carrello della spesa giocattolo. Questo però è di metallo come quelli veri, pesa più di 5 kili! Sessanta e più euro per un gioco non sono mai pochi ma vuoi mettere che qui c'è un piccolo pezzo di realtà a misura di bimbo? Melissa & Doug, questi due tizi che hanno creato questo filone di giochi, ci hanno visto lungo! Dovreste vederlo di persona per crederci: lo scomparto che nei carrelli veri serve per i bambini, le ruote girevoli, la struttura a rete e nota di non poco conto, vedi foto, tre piedi di sicurezza che ancorano a terra il carrello se un bimbo ci sale sopra (addirittura c'è una vite a brugola di regolazione - pazzesco!). In effetti, c'è tutto quello che si possa trovare in un vero carrello e, se il supermercato lo consente, potrste mettervi a fare la spesa con un mini-me che vi segue e mette le "sue" cose nel carrello come i genitori?! impagabile e impossibile fino a poco tempo fa, quando di questi giochi non si sapeva neanche l'esistenza. Struttura robustissima, ammortizzato sulle ruote anteriori, alto abbastanza anche per poterlo usare da una bambina di poco più di un anno come "deambulatore" e dalle più grandi come imitazione della vita quotidiana. È perfetto, fatto molto bene.
