Great headlamp
This thing is a beast. Lasts along time. And will light up the darkest of dark. Is a bit heavy and can get a little warm but for the light and time it works. Its worth it. 220 is a lot of money for a headlamp but if you need 1 for your job that is reliable and bright enough to light whatever. The weight is worth it. It will last days before a recharge. Honestly a great light. I’ve had workers with me using there headlights and mine blew them away.

Best headlamp Ive ever used!!! Second to none.
I have used quite a few different brands and styles through the years. I started off with the old Wheat brand miners light and some other lights costing twice as much. I bought one for myself and a friend, we both are very impressed. I was expecting this light to be great, but still with that being said, it far exceeded my expectations in brightness and battery life!!! Im love that you dont have to select half a dozen different settings to get to the brightness you want!!! Thank God this also does not have that annoying strobe function. This is a professional lifh

Very bright and comfortable.
It is so hot here in the deep South that I do little projects around the outside of the house and the yard at night. Don't use gas equipment as to not bother anyone but battery tools are OK. With the flood LEDs on I can see everything around me very well. With the spot light LED I can easily see everything on our 1.5 acre lot. With all LEDs on, well, it is plenty bright. Other makes will have all the LEDs come on but for a short time and then turn off, not this model. Caution: when in Turbo - all LEDs on - it gets hot! Tonight I was spray painting some lawn furniture, shepherd staffs and bird feeders without any problems. Comfortable to wear and the battery pack is not to heavy. A little pricy compared to others but I think it's worth it. This headlamp is made for Search & Recue, which I am not part of because of heart problems, but for chores and projects around the house and yard at night this is perfect.

Great…when it works.
I have several Fenix lights and love them compared to Petzl and Black Diamond professional lights. Great value and seemingly very high quality. This is the second HP 30R v2.0 that the rotary switch has failed on within a few months. The first one was provided by local SAR and wasn’t warranted. Maybe I just got two duds in a row? Let’s see what the customer service is like on this one. Stay tuned.

You get what you pay for: excellent, but not cheap
This headlamp is absolutely superb on all levels. Granted, it is a bit bulky, and it's certainly not cheap. But the battery life is excellent. I have used it almost nightly to walk the dogs :) for the last 2 months now. Have it on for about 20 to 30 min each walk, mostly on low and medium, but intermittently on high and turbo. It just now went down one dot (out of 4) on the battery indicator. So, I am certain it would work well as a battery bank as well (which it's advertised for). The light strength and throw are also great. But what I like the most is the user-friendliness of its controls. Instead of having to cycle through all settings to reach the desired level, it has a turn switch that allows you to go up and down at will. This is true for both, the long throw settings and the flood settings. And with a push of the same switch, you can add either to either. Very cool and functional. So, five stars on everything. This isn't my first Fenix brand light, and it won't be my last one.

This is the best light I’ve ever owned.
This light is great. I hunt in deep woods that’s been untouched. It gets dark fast and the darkness is blinding. This light really lights it up at night. Never have had any issues with it nit working. As I have with other lights that I’ve paid 80 dollars for. This one just keeps working. And the rechargeable batteries last about three days for me. Very durable. I’ve dropped it a few times and. I issues at all. This is a great product.

Great for night orienteering
Love that lamp - I had that one before but lost it, so I bought a new one. There is now a newer model from Fenix, I do like its beam better and it also warmer color, but you cannot swap the batteries in the new one and I need this to last 12+ hours in the forest (night orienteering), and that means I have to swap batteries at least once. Perfect combination of weight, lumens, distance and time.
