Ludovico Einaudi - Film Music: 17 Pieces for Solo Piano

I was looking for piano pieces which were early intermediate level that would be not too difficult to learn but also enjoyable to listen to. This was perfect. They are lovely pieces.

I like playing Einaudi for a couple reasons: it’s not overtly difficult and still manages to sound beautiful, there’s quite a good bit to analyze if you’re into that kind of thing, and usually people can recognize his works. This collection features what I consider to be his two most well known, Una Mattina and Nuvole Bianche. I’ve also seen the original French version of the Untouchables, and his works for that movie were quite fine, so I’m glad to see them in this edition. If you are looking for some of Einaudi’s best and most recognizable work, this is a fine edition.
