Take it to the crag!
The Climbing Anchors Field Guide is a great companion book and it should be in every trad climberโs backpack. Itโs priceless when you need advice about a sketchy anchor that you just built a couple hundred feet off the ground. This book was ordered used and I received it in top condition. It could have passed for new. I am very satisfied with this Amazon order!

Great "Field Guide", from another book
This is a great book, and a great field guide. However this is cut-and-pasted from John Long's "How To Rock Climb" which I already own."How To Rock Climb" is a great book, and the section on anchors that makes up this field guide is good. It's worth buying, yes...but, not if you already own How To Rock Climb.Needless to say, it's a small compact book that will easily fit into my back pocket and be brought out with me to climbing sites as a reference.

Limited
The photos are in BW and small at times difficult to make out. Looking forward to Falcon Guide's next edition where they hopefully go to color like the rest of their books. Overall too much reading for a field guide. Color photos with bullet points for a field guide would have been more helpful.

Very satisfied with the product
It is a quick guide, small and light, easy to keep with you. Paper quality is low, however it fits the purpose and keeps weight down.

Totally helpful
This is a really good supplement to any basic anchoring class course, and great to have on hand as a reference. The diagrams are easy to follow, it's not complicated and it thorough. I highly recommend this little book for anyone just getting into trad, ormultipitch leading and anyone getting out there and setting up their first topropes.

Just buy the full book, not the field guide
Decent guide, but just buy the full book by same author/publisher. The book has all the same information and more, and, honestly, I wouldn't want to climb with someone who whipped out a climbing anchors pocket guide right before getting on a trad route.

Great book for rock climbing.
this book is a great referece to refresh your rock climbing anchor knowledge while in the field. It's not a complete guide, but it has a lot of good information and is conveniently travel sized.
