Well it goes without saying that the Green Bay Packer Green (British Racing Green) Thermapen is by far the fastest color out there.Seriously I have had this for years and have used this at both at home and competition barbeque events. Fast and accurate. Yes, a bit costly but will last a lifetime.

Great multi-tasker
Unfold the thermometer and it actually gives you instant temp in your room. Wonder how cold or hot it is outside? Take the Thermopen and it instantly shows you the temp. And it’s great for cooking too! If you fry in oil, when does the oil hit 350 degrees? Thermopen shows you instantly.
