Amazing kit and easy to install
Amazing kit and easy to install (no soldering) and works great for any kind of game I've played so far. Kinda light pressed so some accidental presses at first and was kinda weird to hold until I got used to it and now I love it

Great Upgrade Kit for PS5 Controller
I recently installed the eXtremeRate RISE4 Remap Kit on my PS5 controller, and it’s a solid upgrade. The instructions are clear and easy to follow, making the installation process straightforward even if you're not super experienced. They even provide replacement cables in case something goes wrong, which is a nice touch. The black rubberized grips feel great in hand, and the redesigned back shell with the white back buttons adds a cool custom look. If you’re looking to enhance your controller with remappable buttons and better grip, this kit is a great option.

Not the most practical - just bloody lit.
I’ve been looking at this product vs the Dualsense Edge for sometime. I wouldn’t say this was a necessity (especially being a self-proclaimed pro at COD), but I was curious about how having extra buttons on the back would improve gameplay while playing my FPS shooters. Installation is pretty straightforward. Just go to the ExtremeRate YouTube channel and follow their installation guide. The video is extremely detailed so it would be hard to install incorrectly, especially if you watch it through. I don’t understand why these instructions aren’t linked to / including in the box but it’s not that hard to find. I chose to follow the soldering process which I’d say is easy enough for people with beginner soldering skills. Without soldering, you can’t map L3, R3 and the touchpad button. Once installed, the modded pad & buttons feel great. Super clicky and easy to remap on the fly. The back buttons and optional rubber housing looks very cool vs the stock Dualsense, giving your pad some personality. The housing and buttons feel high quality, definitely a steal at this price. Something I really appreciated is they included spare screws required for installation + extra stock screws for the Dualsense. The screw hole that secures the battery holder of mine broke years ago while fixing stick drift, these guys included longer screws for this region as if they knew I needed them! 🫱🏾🫲🏼 After testing throughout the day, honestly the paddles aren’t the most practical, especially while playing fast-pace game modes. Maybe I’m not use to all the extra buttons yet (I’ve gamed since PS1) but, I can see with practice, over time this could completely transform how I play FPS shooters. Having big hands, I find myself pressing the module buttons closer to the centre of the pad over the paddles. My fingers usually rest here so it feels more natural this way. If I could Improve the design I would probably shrink the module so it feels more like the Dualsense with extra back buttons (similar to the Dualsense Edge) vs an obviously modded Dualsense with extra bulk. If you’re dexterous with your fingers, I doubt this’ll be a problem but for me, it’s not the most comfortable. The price though? At £27.99 it’s a bargain! It’s 85% cheaper than the Dualsense Edge and offers practically the same functionality minus the trigger locks. Playing with a modded controller will definitely require a learning curve but, if you’re prepared to learn, I expect it’s worth the money - especially at the price point. Overall 4.5 stars.

It works
Update: even better the more you use it. ExtremeRate now sell an adapter for the official charging dock, negating the only real drawback. Original review follows: Easy to install. I taped with electrical tape instead of cutting (because I have different models of dualsense). Care is needed, but if you can stick two lego bricks together and undo a screw then you can do this! (take photos of each step for reference just in case) I did not solder - I only need the plug-in functions. Blue Gripy is grippy and blue. The rubber grips are integrated with the shell, so no peeling edges like the stick-on ones. They don't make my hands smell like rubber either, which is a plus! They feel robust, all the haptics still work. Best value back-button option I've seen. Only negatives are 1 it's easy to press them by accident (especially passing the pad back and forth). You can mitigate by making the triggers stiffer or dampen the action - lots of tips online but I left mine stock and just be more careful. 2 doesn't fit the official dock. I knew this in advance, it's still a shame.

It does not work anything, useless, only aesthetic
It doesn't let me set any button It doesn't let me set any key even if it turns button even if it turns onThe red light, does not let me connect the L1/2 buttons because when I insert them then I can no longer turn on the pad. It only works if I put the original L1/2 cables

Saves buying something like a custom controller. Easy to do it yourself
Fantastic and easy to instal. I bought the hair triggers as well so saves you a couple hundred on buying a controller with the attachments as you can do it yourself and easily. It also Comes with a QR code to take you to the video on how to instal it and the tools you need are included also, so no need to buy a fancy tool set if you don't want to.

Works as promised
Installed it yesterday. Installation was simple and pretty straightforward after watching the instructional video. I also soldered the L3 R3 mapping which was probably the easiest part. It all works as promised. All buttons remap and work perfectly fine. The quality seems really good but time will tell how durable it is. So why only 3 stars? Well... Because of the ergonomics. K1 and K2 paddles are easy to find and press and feel like they're in the right spot. K3 and K4 are not as easy to find and press. You can't use your middle finger to press K1 K2 and your ring fingera to press K3 K4. All buttons can only be pressed using middle fingers. This makes it impossible or very difficult to press K4 and K2 at the same time because you have to press them with the same finger. It's far from perfect. I guess I'll have to change my buttons around and re teach my muscle memory the new layout.
