A Beautiful Outcome
I like using different types of yarn for different projects. This yarn worked well. Not as soft as I would have liked. I washed it on gentle/cold and air dried it after I finished making it and the throw blanket was a slightly softer. It turn out to be the perfect throw for my son’s friend first apartment which was decorated white, black and grey. I think the yarn was perfect for this project. Not the softest, but a great value for the money and easy to work with.

Inconsistencies between yarns spoilt purchase
I have used red heart colour pooling yarn previously (Haute) and loved it- a count of 3 was maintained for each colour and there was no colour run between the changes. Therefore I decided to crochet a pullover which called for a colour pooled panel front and back. I chose Antique for this. The first ball of yarn worked up fine although i did find that the count for colours was 4, 5, 5,6. The colours didn't run into each other. However the second ball of Antique was very unsatisfactory for the following reasons:-1/ The count was completely different for the same colours as the previous ball2/ There was a tailors join after I had worked 1 inch of work and it was completely out of sync with the previous colour sequence-appeared to be wound from opposite direction3/ The colours had long areas of dye leakage from brown to turquoise (6 inches!!!!) making colour pooling very difficult and obviously affecting the overall look of the argyll effect.I have contacted the seller to ask how this issue can be rectified. I do hope that all other colour mixes are not the same as I have bought another 6 balls in various colours based on my previous wonderful experience.

Yarn Colours are designed for Pooling
Lovely aran feel yarn and colours, just didn't realise these are older designs from Red Heart which these colours can be used for planned pooling methods (complicated) I kept the yarn and finally made sense of these short frequency of colours changes.Great to use but time consuming and not for beginners if want to make good user of yarn colour changes instead of random effect. I ended up using mix of 5, 5.5 & 6mm hooks to achieve result.

Camouflage Yarn
This is a brilliant yarn and it does look exactly like camouflage when it's crocheted or knitted up, which is brilliant. The reason I only gave 4 stars is because I feel that it is a very stiff yarn, it worked up well, although it is not very soft, but it was perfect for what I needed it for, which was making military styles Dementia/Alzheimer mats

My first Red Heart yarn!
I have always wanted to try Red Hearts super saver yarn ever since watching youtube videos for knitting and crochet. This was my first one and I love it!!It is Worsted weight, number 4 yarn which for us British is similar to an Aran weight yarn and knits up perfectly to Aran patterns. The first thing I made was a hat for myself and one for my daughter and they turned out gorgeous, they are lovely and warm also soft too.The colours in this print are lovely and the photo does not do it justice. It knits up beautifully and is nice to knit with. I have heard from other reviewers that it is a rather rough yarn best suited for blankets and such but I find it quite soft. I also understand that if it is washed and tumble dried it gets even softer but looses its shape over time so I shall see how my hats fair, I will keep you posted.A lovely yarn in a nice big ball (144g, 5oz ball) slightly smaller than the plain colours as they are 7oz balls but in 2 balls I had enough to make 2 bobble hats 3 pompoms (one went wrong so had to remake it) and a pair of gloves.Have ordered more to make a scarf.

Very stiff and price almost doubled ovenight
It was £5.82 when I bought 4 balls, but now the price has increased to £9.17 -£9.67, and varies between these prices daily !!!! Guess it's going to be a lap blanket instead of a bed throw now! It's a bit stiff to work with and defo not worth the price hike.
