Cute and functional
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. I bought this as a gift for my best friends mom. SHe just bought her first house and is finally getting to decorate how she wants. That means red EVERYTHING. And birds EVERYWHERE. SO this knife block is perfect for her. I've never seen a universal knife block before and had no idea what to expect. This is actually really cool. The swan itself seems to be a melanine type plastic and seems strong but it is lightweight. The block area consists of long wire pins that you can slide a knife into any position. It's super cute and will hold about 6-8 knives depending on size. It's a great addition to a red or bird based decor.

Like the concept - as I do have another one which does work - but this design doesn't work too well
The filler isn't quite tight enough to hold short knives. I have a more expensive holder which I use for my longer knives and its filler is more sturdy and/or has more filler. When you insert a knife into this one, it doesn't stay put. I'm going to insert some wooden dowels to help fill up some of the extra air space and see if that doesn't help give more support to keep the knives in place.

This is nice but after awhile it is difficult to put your knives in. The material starts to bend or something but I continue to use it because I like the look.

I love this !!!! Its perfect for my knifes and its such a cute addition for my kitchen!!! Item is exactly as pictured, I got the red one . I love the design, and it looks alto better than a plain block of wood!! Its made out of a hard plastic material . I was expecting ceramic, but I still love the design

As expected but top finishing piece detached
This knife block is cute and functional but the top piece came separated from the swan. And it's impossible to stick it on because of all the mesh in the middle. The block is still functional but that piece really finished off the look and I'm quite annoyed it isn't attached.

I love my swan
I love my swan. It works great in my kitchen. I would have preferred it was not so purplish but I have navy ruffles on my curtain that it sit near so it is not much of a problem. Thanks
