Incredible 'throw'. Almost lazer bright, but a bigger 'hotspot'
I've got five other spot-focused LED lights, from 10180 battery thru 26650.This FW1 LEP is easily twice as bright. Of course, that brightness is contained in a small spot. For hobbyists, SAR, hunting, finding buoys while on the water, this is the affordable goto.It has the same design ethic as my other Mateminco lights. Not pretty, but usable.

Before you get grumpy like I did,
I thought I had a defect. It turned on as soon as I installed the battery. And I couldn't turn it off.Then a YouTuber informed me that you need to hold the power button in order to turn it off.Also, it only uses the short versions of the 21700 battery. (Some 21700s are about 7mm longer)

I’ve used this a couple times and the terminal on the top where the battery touches fell off. Super disappointing after this much money.
