I don't understand the lowered reviews based on life-span of this thing. Common sense says "foam sponge" and "air filter" mean this is a part that will need to be replaced again at some point and it not meant for re-use. If you buy this with a reasonable expectation as to its longevity, you won't be disappointed. My son needed an air filter for his dirt bike. This one fit his budget and his bike so we got it. It has actually lasted longer than I expected when I bought it. The shipping time was amazing, too - literally the fastest I have ever received anything I've ordered from Amazon! We ordered it on Friday afternoon and Sunday it was dropped off. I only use the free shipping options, so I was thoroughly impressed!

It's cheap and not expensive and I read the reviews and it seemed like Common Sense should apply you're not going to be too hard on this thing and for the money and for trying one this has exceeded all expectations my bike really runs well and mine hasn't had any damage yet you can use it for a one-time disposable if you oil it up or if you're gentle with it you might be able to wash it and reuse it a couple times I don't think it's as reputable as uni or any name brand but if they can reinforce anything that anyone's complaining about I'm sure that they will be just as good it's just a filter made of foam and you have to be gentle with it my Yamaha Zuma doesn't have a whole lot of clearance and I really need something angled but this does sit in there up against my frame pretty well being it is only 3 in Long it stays on fairly well you just got to be gentle and firm tightening it and it stays on your carburetor

Only con is the outer filter is glued at the seam, as long as your not rough with it, it'll last many miles. Does have an inner filter as well so it's a dual stage non oil type element. Have bought many of these and always get my money's worth.

The media could not be loaded. The filter looks and fits fine. It is not a durable design, as the spring is not molded into the rubber. The entire filter and filter expansion spring are supported by the glue attaching the foam filter to the rubber mounting grommet. The supplied clamp is a wide gage clamp and not a thin gage motorcycle clamp, like would fit the Mikuni carb groove.The I.D. of the grommet is approximately 1.5" (38mm). The length of the foam filter portion is about 2.8" and over all length is approximately 3.6".Care should be used when installing.
