The media could not be loaded.  I am a “collector” of portable photography and videography lights, as I am constantly in the search of what will make my content look it’s best. Out of the various lights I have owned, this is one of the better ones, but not the best. This correlates with price and build quality though, and for the price, $45.99 is relatively affordable for this type of light, and with the affordability comes some flaws.To begin, I want to clarify that I gave this product 5 stars because for $45.99, it is a good product for the price range. However, the build quality, durability, and sturdiness will almost always be better in higher priced products of this sort. This is due to the type of materials that are needed to create a good quality video light like this. As a result, while this is not the most expensively well built light, it is still a good one. I like the ease and responsiveness of the buttons. I didn’t need the instructions to figure out which button does what, and simplicity is priceless. The light is very bright, and the adjustability of brightness as well as color makes this an extremely versatile light that will make your content significantly better and more interesting. It’s very light, which is a good and bad thing – good because it is easy to hold for prolonged periods of time, and easy to mount on a cheap tripod, but bad because the lighter feeling means not as good of quality materials used. Regardless, it does the job and it does the job well and very easily. It also comes with a free strap which is helpful for someone like me who is clumsy.The best part about this light is that it’s nearly 360 degrees of coverage, which is not typical in these types of lights. Most lights like this have a flat backing to it, where the lights are mounted onto. Having a near 360 degrees of coverage means more coverage, especially when you’re twirling it and moving it around drastically. It means that the coverage is more even in your photos and video. For that alone, I would give this product 5 stars, because that’s very uncommon to find in this type of light. Photos and videos attached for reference. Hopefully this review is found helpful to you.

While it has its merits, it also falls short in certain aspects, leaving room for improvement.First and foremost, the lightweight is easy to handle and maneuver, making it suitable for various photography and video applications. The availability of a broad spectrum of colors is a significant advantage, allowing for creative experimentation and customization of lighting effects.However, this product leaves room for improvement in its build quality. While lightweight, it also feels flimsy and lacks the robustness expected from a professional lighting tool. The plastic cover around the lights is notably thin, which raises concerns about its durability, especially with regular use.One notable issue is the cable charging port, which feels loose. This aspect worries me, as a secure charging connection is essential for consistent performance and longevity. Ensuring a snug fit for the charging port should be a priority for the manufacturer.The Oldshark Light Wand Photography offers versatility in its color options and ease of use due to its lightweight design. However, it needs to improve in terms of build quality, with concerns about the thin plastic cover and the slightly loose charging port. While it's a good lighting tool, it does leave the impression of being somewhat cheaply built. A few improvements in construction could elevate it to a higher level of quality and reliability. My 3-star rating reflects my mixed feelings about this product, which has potential but currently falls short in build and durability.

The media could not be loaded.  This hand held smart light wand is a ton of fun! The controls are easy to use, and the pre-programmed color light displays are extremely nice. The light is bight and is sure to draw attention. The multicolor banded color picture I have included has two modes, one is static, like the picture, and the other is animated, where the bands are animated to flow down the light tube. I didn't include a video of this animation, instead included a larger color band animation that is a good contrast. Can you swing this like a light saber? Yes, but see more below . . .A couple of suggestions to the vendor for an upgrade to this product. First, make the joint between the tube and the handle much more solid. As it is, there is a tiny bit of play and if you twirl or spin this light . . . as you know we're going to do . . . the plastic creaks a bit leading to a loss of confidence the the structural integrity of the light. It didn't break, but I became much more gentle in my motions to ensure that it didn't. Make this light stronger at the joint, and it will be Rave Ready. Next up is the strip of plastic running on either side of the tube that blocks the light. Perhaps this plastic strip is the base of the circuit board that holds the light LEDs, but there must be a way to allow the light to flow around this board so there isn't an unlit strip going up the side of light tube. Nothing worth taking a star away, but definitely tips for the next version.Five Star RGB Light Wand

Love the light wand. It's super bright and lightweight for the size. The color range is very vibrant and it holds an amazingly long charge. It definitely added some fun to my club's photoshoot.

This couldn't cast proper light just 18 inches away. It serves more as an in-shot tool than anything else. I bought this toplace out of shot to illuminate my background in a close up shot. The glow is super weak and probably recommended for an extremely dark situation. I wish I didn't buy it.
