Excellent Bit
I used this bit to drill six 1" holes through a 30" diameter Red Oak tree to cable it off as a result of storm damage. I was skeptical at first seeing the bit when it arrived. I thought for sure it would twist off half way through the tree. But after using it, and taking my time with each hole being sure to clean out the shavings with each few inches of progress while drilling, it worked great! A testimony to the "Made in America" logo. I got all six holes drilled, saved the 100+ year old Oak tree, and the bill is still good for the next job. Well done Eagle Tool US! My story would not have had a successful ending had I bought the "Made in China" garbage at Home Depo or Lowes'.

Didn't need it, but still great quality and a nice tool!
I bought this for a project I've been doing at my house, running wires for a home theater system through existing walls. I was planning on using it to drill a few difficult locations. One was through the top plate on my wall, the other was through the joists on the ceiling to push the wire through.Well, for the top plate, the wall was an exterior wall and had insulation in it. I tried to use this to drill up through the plate in the wall, but it just got caught up in the insulation. I was also using a bumper ball and placement tool. So that didn't work, I ended up cutting a hole in the ceiling and drilling down from above. As for drilling through the joists, turns out I didn't need to. I didn't realize I have engineered truss-style joists in my ceiling, so no drilling necessary. So in the end I didn't need this bit. But I will say it is very good quality and not too hard to use from what I've seen, so for that I will give it five stars. I will recommend you get the placement tool if you're using it on existing walls. The placement tool is very useful for getting a vertical hole (and not drilling through your siding). I almost wish I needed this bit for something. Oh well, I will save it for another project.

Works
Didn’t want to spend money as this will likely be used for one job. But it worked. Good value

sturdy drill bit but connection weird
I couldnt find anything to connect the drill bit to. I have a few different power tools and it slipped in the free ones. Even went to home depot and they had never seen a connection like that so couldnt even use it. Shame as this should have done the trick.

Perfect for outdoor lighting
I needed to borrow underneath a path of brick pavers that was almost 5 feet wide in order to bury wiring for outdoor lighting that I was installing. This did the trick. It was flexible yet sturdy.

Not very flexible but well made and a good extension bit with some give.
I bought this because I use a fish bit at work and needed one for home. It is very good quality but the shaft is not flexible as it should be. I bought it to drill at a 90 Deg in walls. It works great as an extension as it is rigid and well made. It’s not a cheap Offshore replica.

Ran a cable through a noggin in a stud wall
It is a great tool to have. Used it to run a cable through a noggin in a stud wall. I drilled an access hole in the plasterboard and used a cheap endoscope camera to see what I was doing. Found that you need about 10cm height of the hole to get enough angle so the bit hits the middle of the noggin rather than the plasterboard wall because it's not hugely flexible - what I did was cut a 1cm wide channel up/down from the access hole to create the angle for the flex bit to go in. Use the camera to spot where you want it and away you go. Short sharp bursts using the power drill and reversing to clear the bit if it gets stuck is the key. Got through in about 10-15 seconds of drilling.

9/16-Inch by 54-Inch - Very Flexible - Great Value
Bought this for drilling floor joists for wiring new pot lights on our main floor - This bit is exactly what you need and appears to be excellent quality -As an Electrician I would highly recommend this bit over the big names (greenlee, GB and Irwin).A word of caution..... be very careful drilling what you can not see!!! Planning is very important!
