Very handy tool to have.

These are some of the smallest magnets I've used for welding but are good for holding smaller pieces in place. Sometimes a large magnet won't work because they are too big so it's nice to have these smaller units. These are a little over 2 inches long at the longest end and not very thick. They do stick to a solid welding table fairly well and work fine on smaller pieces of mild steel.This pieces are nicely painted and the overall quality is very nice. Each side is a different length so you have some options for positioning. I'm happy with these, I just wish the magnets were a little stronger.

I have large magnet guides for this purpose but these are great for quick tacks on smaller stock. They are smaller than what I've seen where you can completely hold one on your outstretched palm. The mag pull is strong where these hold well to the welding table.Perfect for small projects that don't even involve welding. I use them for gluing jigs etc. I like the bright color in low light in the shop. Would recommend them for anyone doing small layouts.

Four magnets, each sandwiched between two metal plates, riveted together. They are solid, but not very strong. Strength is about a better kitchen magnet. Might be okay for smaller projects, but too weak for bigger pieces.
