great little east y to use home it is easy to use once program setting are set it comes in a great storage pouch that has room to store the unit, cords and extra electrodes which is convenient . the product is made sand backed by a veruy reputable medical supply company they back their ptrodiucts and are always there to help with problems. it would be a good ides for a non medical person to see a nO.T./P.T. initially to make sure the most approptrisate. program is set to meet your needs. it is very simple once sent up and can be used as a neurmuscula elec stim to re-educate muscles or a transcutaneous electrical stim for pain relief. i use it as a NMes unit to re educate and begin strengthening of flaccid muscles resulting from brain injury. but, i gave one to a froiend to use as a tens unit for pain relief. she also finds it to be a quality easy toi use product people experience different and unique levels of pain relief. sadly there aren’t many if sany products available thaat are safe and effective tio get rid of pain. but, this a good product to give a try battery life is good. and uses an easy tio find battery that is easy to replace.

I have purchased for myself, gifted, and referred it to many. Easy to use, feels great, multiple settings, does both tens and names. I try not to pull the wires in and out or wrap them super tight. Wires are on the thin/cheaper side. Over time the plastic where the lead plugs in to the unit can break off and replacement wires aren’t cheap. If you take care of it the unit should last for quite a while. Takes 9V battery so it doesn’t die as quickly as some.

I had a cheaper TENS unit and decided to upgrade for the extra programs and the NMES function. This device has so many program options, is less painful than the cheaper one I had, a great instruction manual and a lot of accessories. Really happy with it

I suffered a stroke a little over 2 months ago. While in the hospital, the Occupational Therapist used a machine similar to this one on my arm and hand to try to wake the muscles back up. It seemed to work, so when I was released I wanted to continue the same kind of electrical treatment. I asked my outpatient OT what they thought and they felt it was a good idea. I asked them which machine they would recommend and she said she needed to ask around and let me know. She is part of an email group with other OTs around the country, so she sent out an email blast to all of them to see which unit they recommended, and the majority of them all said the Chattanooga Primera TENS/NMES Unit, so that is the one she told me to get (I guess you could say that this product is the recommended choice of Occupational Therapists! ).Anyway, with all of that said, I couldn't be more pleased with this product! It is VERY easy to use and it has helped me regain movement in my arm and hand greatly! The unit comes with a very nice travel bag, as well as a very helpful booklet with diagrams which shows you the proper points to place the electrodes. It even comes with electrodes already in the kit, so there is no need to purchase extra ones until you need them! Everything you need is in the box. I was using it within 15 minutes of opening the box!The other great thing about this unit is that it is TENS and NMES! This is VERY handy (be sure to look up what the difference is)! I have primarily used it for NMES purposes, but recently needed to use the TENS feature and it helped a lot! This is an EXCELLENT product that has made a significant difference in my rehab!

After breaking my tibia, I needed to improve my quad muscle tone from the atrophy of 6 months non-use. This works pretty well along with physical therapy although electrode pad placement is critical for muscle activation. The included placement diagram didn’t work well for me but I found decent response by trial and error. You’ll need to buy more pads but they’re pretty cheap and you’ll know when you need to when the unit cuts off while ramping up the charge. I haven’t used it for pain relief. It still works fine after 6 months use.

It has been working great and the directions are easy to follow. I also got guidance from physical and occupational therapist to use effectively on husband’s stroke affected side.

If two outputs are enough for you, this is pretty much perfect. I've got strained back muscles and Program 1 at about 10 mA offers great pain relief. You can register for the warranty on Chattanoog's website. I do wish it was chargeable but the battery seems to be pretty long-lasting so far. I also think this is one of the best looking TENS units. The design is simple but looks very professional and I like the blue buttons. It's very lightweight and I appreciate the belt clip. The carrying case is also great. The pads stick well. I like the safety feature that stops the treatment if it detects an open circuit. Unfortunately, I have to return this because I need a unit with 4 outputs :'( I have pain in almost my entire back and I can't get full coverage of all the areas where I get pain.

after purchasing to help my with a physical problem that keeps me from walking, four of my physical therapists could not get it to work. I called the manufacturer as was Amazon's solution and the manufacturer stated it was an Amazon's responsibility to refund the return. For the past hour I have gone in circles on the Amazon site and cannot speak or communicate with anyone who will help resolve my situation.
