Nice sturdy switch controller.
Update review: C/S reached out to me and wanted to send a replacement controller. I accepted it and the day after it showed up I had to drive across the country for about a week. I took my switch and the new controller and off I went.I didn't have a lot of time to use my switch, mostly at night when crashing on the road or at the hotel. It works really well and doesn't need any calibration, just drop the switch in and start gaming. There's only two non-issues; using a standard 5v charger won't keep the switch fully charged while gaming and when the switch is powered on already in the controller it will need to be lifted off the connector and reconnected. Not really issues, but worth noting.Original review: I just bought a switch OLED and got some controllers for it that were more like an Xbox style layout and they’re great, but left something to be desired as far as sturdiness. Please reconnect controller. So I started shopping around, mostly looking for a case, and saw this controller and thought it could be exactly what I need. Please reconnect controller.I got it and the case today and they seem great. Please reconnect controller. So I installed the switch into the controller and it’s a nice snug fit. Please reconnect controller.I went into the system settings for the switch and turned the setting on to allow a wired controller. Please reconnect controller.I checked the calibration of the thumb stick and the left stick was slightly off, so I recalibrated it.Please reconnect controller.I started up Diablo 2 and the left stick is off center after disconnecting, which happens a lot. A lot. Please reconnect controller. So I recalibrate the left stick again and no problem, it works fine. Please reconnect controller. The biggest issue is one I’ve made very obvious in this review; it disconnects constantly. I didn’t see it mentioned in any other reviews, so I’m hoping this is just a dud; it happens. In the 30 minutes I’ve been using this controller it’s disconnected at least a dozen times and is almost unusable.I’m conclusion, I like it but the one I have has some serious issues. It feels good in my hands and it’s nice and sturdy, which is what I was looking for. I hope the seller will replace the one I have so I can give it another go.I cannot in good faith leave a better review based on my personal experience with this controller.

The Pro Controller for Handheld Switch
I am extremely for having nice controllers. They are the thing you interact with most while gaming and this grip is exactly what the OLED Switch needs. It is well made, all the buttons function, paddle buttons are very welcome and easy to program. Unlike using the joycons, it keeps your hands in a comfortable position which is great for longer gaming sessions. The buttons are all sturdy and haven't shown any sign of wear. The adaptor rails for regular switch work very well so no worries if you don't have an OLED.If you play switch in handheld, this is the best grip I've found.

Very happy
I would like to thank the people that made this amazing product, I'm surprised it's not talked about more. It feels amazing in my hands. Very solid the controls and buttons are responsive and it fits super snug on my switch oled. I really appreciate that they send extenders if I want to use my original switch on it. The Lz Zr buttons feel very nice and not clicky at all. They have the right amount of resistance and smoothness when you click them. I appreciate that you can charge the device without having to remove the switch and it also has extra buttons in the back if you wana map them. If you have big hands like I do, you will definitely be happy with this product. It's just right and playing games with it has felt much different in the good way. It adds plenty of size to the switch and it feels bigger. Comfortable to hold.. I would almost Compare this to holding an Xbox control if you want an idea. Don't hesitate to buy this. I didn't think I would be into this as much as I am. Thank you Nexigo. You've got a new and happy customer.

Slightly better than just grips
The controller is overall pretty good. I play almost exclusively handheld and have played long sessions on it without significant discomfort but button and stick placement could have been improved. The buttons response is good and it doesn’t feel overly cheap.Overall, it is an improvement over using the switch joypads with an aftermarket grip, but not as comfortable as a pro controller. The sticks are just a tad too close the buttons. I also wish the controller had a similar asymmetric configuration as some of the better grips that are available. The controller does have a couple quirks especially if trying to use it while charging the switch. It requires more than a basic wall wart power supply for the pass through charging feature to function correctly, even had some controller disconnection issues (which other reviews have mentioned) when using some fast chargers which I’ve previously used to charge the switch (some seemed to work, but oddly other identical make and model chargers did not). It seems to guarantee the controller stays connected while pass through charging, a power supply with a little extra oomph is required. The Nintendo 15v power supply will definitely work but the usb plug and wire would be in an annoying position to play in. I used an old similarly rated Microsoft surface laptop power supply with a usb-c 90 degree angle cable and have no disconnection issues and it performs and charges perfectly. I suggest using a power supply similarly rated to the switch charger with a 90 degree plug if intending to play while charging. Otherwise just play without charging and there’ll be no issue with the controller randomly disconnecting. The other quirk is sometimes the home button will wake the switch, sometimes it doesn’t. Haven’t yet figured out what causes the difference in behavior. But simply pressing the power button on the top of the switch always works and makes the issue almost ignorable.Overall, I like the controller and will enjoy using it.
